Muy feliz inicio de semana hivers y creativos, hoy vengo muy contenta a compartirles no solo el tutorial de costura, también la alegría y parte de la experiencia de mi primera sesión grupal de Relajate con Arte y Chocolate, fue un encuentro muy íntimo con personas afines, conectadas con el propósito de transitar las emociones y regularlas con arte. Para esta sesión quería hacer algo fuera de lo común, y arme unos llaveros de lienzos acolchados en forma de sacos de chocolate, referente a la naturaleza, al descanso y la suavidad de recordar ser gentiles con nosotros mismos.

Very happy start of the week hivers and creatives, today I come very happy to share with you not only the sewing tutorial, but also the joy and part of the experience of my first group session of Relax with Art and Chocolate, it was a very intimate meeting with like-minded people, connected with the purpose of transiting emotions and regulate them with art. For this session I wanted to do something out of the ordinary, so I made some key chains out of quilted canvas in the shape of chocolate sacks, referring to nature, rest and the softness of remembering to be gentle with ourselves.

Use cuadrados de tela cruda o lienzo, tijeras, aros para llaves, hilos, cordón, algodón de relleno, agujas y maquina de coser, unos toques de pintura y marcador. Uní los cuadros de tela, en las puntas inferiores hice una costura en forma contraria para hacer como soporte en la base, luego les di vuelta y planche un poco.

I used raw fabric squares or canvas, scissors, key rings, thread, string, cotton stuffing, needles and sewing machine, a few dabs of paint and marker. I joined the squares of fabric together, sewed the bottom ends of the squares in an opposite way to make a support at the base, then turned them over and ironed a little.

Después los rellené y antes de cerrarlos hice un asa por donde atravesé el aro y así lo uní con el saquito para luego sellarlo con una costura recta, asegurando bien los extremos. Una vez listo, limpie los excesos de hilos y telas. Con los dedos, un marcador y pintura hice el sello de Somos Lienzo.

Then I stuffed them and before closing them I made a handle through which I crossed the hoop and thus joined it with the bag and then sealed it with a straight seam, securing the ends well. Once ready, clean the excess threads and fabrics. With my fingers, a marker and paint I made the Somos Lienzo stamp.

Para esta actividad elegí llaveros porque apartando los celulares, las llaves también son un objeto importante en nuestro día a día y siempre tenemos en la mano, es mi forma de recordarles esta experiencia a los presentes, quienes pintaron su relajación y ahora pueden admirar, volverla a sentir cada tanto lo necesiten o vean. También porque internamente tenemos la llave para abrir, desbloquea cualquier situación que transitemos y arte es una de las tantas herramientas para hacerlo.

For this activity I chose key chains because apart from cell phones, keys are also an important object in our daily lives and we always have them in our hands, it is my way of reminding those present of this experience, who painted their relaxation and now they can admire it, feel it again whenever they need it or see it. Also because internally we have the key to open, unlock any situation we go through and art is one of the many tools to do so.

Así quedaron los llaveros pintados por las asistentes, luego de hacer la sesión de relajación con música, una buena conversación acompañada de chocolate, y todos se fueron con una gran sonrisa y expresión de bienestar ¿qué les pareció la obra final?
