Giving ourselves credit sometimes is another way of motivation. You don’t realize how good you are until you reflect on how far being consistent and passionate has brought you.
It’s another #needleworkmonday and this time, I’m doing something different. I’m here to show off a few of my favorite designs from the many I’ve created in the last one month, with a little backstory.
THE DIAMOND TOP
I created this piece for a shoot in August. I got an order on my business page requesting for a crop top with no design in mind. I had to freestyle and it came out really nice.
This took me about 1hr:30mins to make as I made for a size small and it was a crop design. I used one pink acrylic yarn and a 5mm hook making use of the double crochet & single crochet type of stitch. It was a cris-cross tie type of style.
THE THREE IN ONE TOP
One of my favorite designs because it’s creativity is top notch. The average halter neck crop top became boring for me so I came up with this design.
This was really easy to make and it took me about 2hrs because of trial and errors. I made use of the double crochet stitch, half-double crochet stitch and the single crochet pattern.
During the process, one acrylic lilac yarn, a 3.5mm hook and a scissor was used.
STYLE 1
Styled as a regular halter neck crop top.
STYLE 2
Styled as a cris- cross design in front.
STYLE 3
Styled as a one hand crochet top by tying both top straps to one side of the top. This was invented lol.
BIKINI SETS
I love pool days and I love crocheting bikinis even more. Bikinis are so easy to make and takes less time. It took me about 1hr each to make a bikini set and I made all 3 sets in less than 24 hours.
It was a custom order in a size small and in different colors & bra-cup designs . Colors black, oxblood and mustard yellow.
I made use of the double crochet and single crochet stitches for each set. Two yarns each was used during the process of making each set.
A measuring tape and a scissors for trimming was also used.
CONCLUSION
The best part about crochet is it’s versatility. It’s not limited to a particular pattern. Most times I’m able to express my love for art through crochet. I hope you love the few designs I shared.
This is quite attractive, how I wish I could get one for my wife. This must have cost you a lot of time and energy to make. Good, you finally made them.

These are beautiful! Great job! I have a classmate who is very good at crocheting that I’ve been trying to get on here for almost 3 months now but for some reason I don’t get, she’s holding out. I think she’d really love it here in this community.
