Hi, prestigious members of this beautiful community.
If I don't share this picture today, I will feel so sad, I've been away for a while, and maybe that's why I didn't notice the challenge has been going on for a while now but as soon as I read a post from @glorydee, I realized I needed to jump on the #Focusyourneedlework challenge, it's even my first time joining a challenge in this community but I really wanna give this a try.
I decided to focus on my photography skill after making this outfit, too bad I didn't take the step-by-step pictures because I wanted to focus more on the details of this dress.
Starting with the African print fabric, I mixed this beautiful fabric with yellow organza.
What's the project about?
It's a wrap dress! I made a half cut of the upper part and slashed it into two which gave it a Vee neckline, I used the lining to turn it so it looks nice.
The back upper bodice has no zipper and is in a round neckline, don't worry you'll get to see the back photo soon.
Then I went ahead to cut the wrap dress like an A-line form, I didn't use lining for the lower bodice.
The sleeve was made like ruffles, using elastic on my yellow organza to make it look puffy.
Now it's about time to showcase this, I had to place my dummy outside my shop for enough light and since this is my model, I took my time to take a shot of the details, front, back, and side.
The back has a belt which made it look very beautiful to rock.
I used a yellow bias to turn the lower bodice to give it a colorful finish.
This challenge has made me realize that not only sewing is needed to make a good job but to upgrade my photography skill.
This is one of many more pictures to come and I promise to get creative with every shot, not just dump them on the floor or bed without giving it an appealing look.
Beautiful pictures are our selling point as designers, so here's the back picture of this beautiful dress and I hope I did well with the focus challenge, well even if I didn't, I promise to do better simply because I don't give up on where I come from.
I enjoyed doing this, even if my entry is a bit late, I am aware that it is better late than never.

Yes yes yes! I love how you showcased your work 😃😍!! These photos are beautiful and very clear allowing us to admire all the colorful details. The lighting in the first three photos is just right, really nice job. The left side of the dress in the last photo got a little overexposed due to the bright spot it was in. We just have to maneuver our projects as we’re photographing them so that there is even lighting throughout 😉. Also, if you’re using an editing app you could remove some of the surrounding marks on the wall (the background of your photo) so that there is no distraction from your showpiece. 👌🏽
