Hello everyone, I hope you are doing great. Today I would love to share with you this composition that was the first piece of a set of 3 bracelets with which I began to develop what I have wanted to do from an artistic point of view.

If you have ever read any of my loom weaving posts you will surely know that I weave as a hobby, one that I have particularly given myself the task of developing with great delicacy in order to enjoy the processes that have arisen while discovering my ways of creating designs.

This sunflower emerged at a time when I set out to knit something different every day until I found those patterns that made me shake my heart with emotion, all this to find my particular stamp. After having spent a week knitting waterfall-shaped twills, I was already a little frustrated because I liked them but they didn't move me when I saw them, when I was half way through the design I was bored and didn't want to continue, it was more like a torture or a payment that I had to make. So one afternoon I took the time to meditate and think about what I want to do, and I found the answer! I have always wanted to do pointillism paintings, not only patterns that mix colors, to make free art with the beads, then I questioned myself again: Why don't you just start? What do you need? I looked through all the excuses I could have given myself before and I understood that there was no reason not to start at once and so I did. I assembled the loom with 26 threads and began to look for a landscape to draw, which is the one I am about to share with you.

Dreams have meanings for me, flowers have been a catalyst for unexpected events during what was the year 2021, they have brought me peace and meditation, for that reason it was the first thing I looked for, flowers!

I don't have a specific application to pixelate things, I have been told that Photoshop is a good tool, but I have not been able to download it on the computer because of the small capacity it has, for that reason I tried to find some other applications on the phone that would allow me to take any image and convert it into pixels to take an easier shape and build the miniature design.

Obviously for being landscaping I would need a lot of color scale to notice the difference in the patterns, that was something I always knew and this time I decided to ignore to see how it flowed with the colors I had.

The pattern only serves as a guide, because of the same lack of colors it is necessary to keep testing and testing until the design makes sense. I had to change the order many times, sometimes after knitting two or three rows I realized that maybe by moving one or two beads the design could look better, so I would unknit the order and continue.

No matter how many times you go back to correct, if you feel it is necessary to do it, it will always be the best option, it is useless to continue when you know that there is something that does not work, going back will help you to put everything in order so that the final work can be the best that you have been able to create.

I apply this to knitting and to life hahaha, basically knitting has taught me philosophy, in the middle of my meditations I always sit down to observe that in the smallness of this work is the giant of life. Everything is a projection, patience, creativity, harmony, everything is a reflection of you and how you do things throughout your days.

Already seeing the pattern well formed gave me a happiness that I can not describe, I felt a Eureka! flowing from my heart to my throat, wanting to dance, to move the body without stopping. Just that emotion was what I was looking for and thank God I was able to just start. All that was left was to close with a braid and observe the work done.

Meditation

Once finished I can unify the messages that came during the whole weaving, what energy did I channel?

Well if we start by thinking about sunflowers we can agree that this is a flower that emanates positive energy, pure yellow that gives vitality and spring freshness, but if we look at it from the depths of its meaning we can interpret some other things ...

In Greek mythology it is said that there was a nymph named Clitia, it is said that she fell madly in love with the god Helios seeing him every morning when leaving his palace and arriving to the West at sunset. It is said that Helios fell in love with a princess and jealous Clitia intervened but this did not help because the sun god could not reciprocate her love. Shattered she just let herself fall and died becoming a beautiful sunflower that followed the sun wherever it went. For he did not want to lose sight of his great love, the sun.

The sunflower is a flower that constantly seeks the light of the sun, in the dark days they usually turn to see each other to see their own light, it is a total symbol of the search for enlightenment in their divinity. In our daily life we can have days full of darkness, we can feel that everything is going down, the lesson is to trust that we also have light and that it is within each one of us, it is as easy as turning to the side and look for other sunflowers, share our light to illuminate while we let ourselves be illuminated. Recharging ourselves with the divine love of God is what gives us vitality and energy, just as the sun comes to give us its light every morning, God is also there emanating his love at every moment, you just have to want to look for the source in your heart.

Adiwa!

With this I end today, I hope you liked it and enjoyed as much as I did the creation of this dream woven with beads.

Wow this really beautiful thanks for sharing and I wish you a prosperous new year @auelitairene

Thanks you so much! happy new year darling!

Beautiful sunflower looming! It is a good way to put little beads to use. I got some too but haven't use them. Thank you for detailed explanation. Perhaps I can refer back when I try.

My pleasure! of course, when you try it please let me know, I really enjoy seeing how others explore these meditations, it's amazing!

I admire your patience and perseverance with this craft. The fact that each piece and it’s color makes a huge impact on how the final results turn out shows how much patience this takes. Im the same way with crocheting. If I know that frogging my work or changing something even small would make it look better I’m all for it.

I think it’s amazing how you recreated this pixelated image into this beautiful sunflower bracelet. The trio looms quite beautiful ~

Thank you very much for your comment, it's like that, if it can be better to turn back is something that is done without thinking, nice! I think that more than patience is love for what I do, is a very satisfying hobby for me. I guess the same is crochet for you hehehehe

You’re very welcome ~

Yep that’s exactly it!!
