Greetings, my dear needle friends. I hope you are doing very well, enjoying health and well-being.
I'm back in this creative community to share with you the progress of my project, and also to tell you the good news that I already have the idea concreted and in execution to give these embroidered handkerchiefs as a gift at my mother's mass.
After thinking and looking for ideas, I got a designer who works with MDF and laser machines to do what I wanted. So as soon as I get my hands on the result of his work, I will bring you a special post telling you all about it.

Estoy de vuelta en esta creativa comunidad para compartir con ustedes los avances de mi proyecto, y también para contarles la buena noticia de que ya tengo la idea concretada y en ejecución para regalar estos pañuelitos bordados en la misa de mi mamá.
Después de pensar y buscar ideas, conseguí un diseñador que trabaja con MDF y máquinas de láser para que me hiciera lo que yo quería. Así que en cuanto tenga en mis manos el resultado de su trabajo, les traeré una publicación especial contándoles todo.

As I said above, I bring you a preview of my work. At first, I had thought I was going to embroider a dozen and a half of these handkerchiefs, but then I made a list with the names of my mother's family and friends to whom we would give these souvenirs and there are a little more than 20.
With these that I am showing you today, there are 18 embroideries, I am missing 6, and time is running out because I hope to send them to Venezuela at the end of this month. So I keep on embroidering, and embroidering everywhere because I always carry with me the little bag where I have everything. Anywhere is a good place for me to sit and embroider.
Como les decía arriba, les traigo un avance de mi trabajo. Al principio, había pensado que iba a bordar una docena y media de estos pañuelos, pero luego hice una lista con los nombres de la familia y las amigas de mi mamá a las que les obsequiaríamos estos recuerdos y son un poco más de 20. Así que decidí bordar dos docenas.
Con estos que les muestro hoy, son 18 bordados, me faltan 6, y el tiempo corre porque aspiro enviarlos a Venezuela a finales de este mes. Así que sigo bordando, y bordando en todas partes porque siempre llevo conmigo el bolsito donde tengo todo. Cualquier lugar es bueno para mí para sentarme a bordar.

Continuing with the idea of embroidering three designs with the same skein tones, this time I used pinks and yellows and this is the result.
I wanted the embroidery of these flowers to have texture, so I used a lot of French knot stitch which I like a lot, although sometimes it gives me headaches because it gets tangled or the knot does not fit the way I like, but well, I keep going.
Also, I have continued embroidering with daisy stitch which I like a lot and the leaves with fly stitch and backstitch because I see that it also gives relief to my embroideries.
Siguiendo con la idea de bordar tres diseños con los mismos tonos de madeja, esta vez usé rosados y amarillos y este ha sido el resultado.
Quise que el bordado de esta flores tuvieran textura, así que usé mucho el punto de nudo francés que me gusta mucho, aunque a veces me da dolores de cabeza porque se me enreda o el nudito no queda como me gusta, pero bueno, sigo adelante.
También, he seguido bordando con punto margarita que me gusta mucho y las hojitas con el punto mosca y el punto pespunte porque veo que también le aporta relieve a mis bordados.

In the photographs, I show you the series of embroideries with the yellow skeins. I confess that embroidering this series filled me with a beautiful energy, especially when I embroidered the sunflowers, because these were, together with roses, my mother's favorite flowers. So I felt connected with her in every stitch.
The first flower embroidery, I embroidered with spider web stitch, daisy stitch and filling stitch. I loved the result. The sunflowers I embroidered with daisy stitch, and in the last embroidery I embroidered the same stitches and many French knots.
Everything I have been embroidering has brought me many satisfactions. In addition, this work that has kept me happy and motivated, has been admired by people who have invited me to embroider with them here in Bogotá, which translates into a work proposal that I like. For this reason, I opened a page on Instagram @byviviortiz to share there and to be the link for new projects. I invite you to follow me.

En las fotografías, les muestro la serie de bordados con las madejas amarillas. Les confieso que bordar esta serie me lleno de una energía bonita, sobre todo cuando bordé los girasoles, porque estas eran, junto a las rosas, las flores preferidas de mi mamá. Así que me sentía conectada con ella en cada puntada.
El primer bordado de flores, bordé con punto telaraña, punto margarita y punto de relleno. El resultado me encantó. Los girasoles los bordé con puntos margaritas, y en el último bordado los mismos puntos y muchos nuditos francés.
Todo lo que he venido bordando me ha traído muchas satisfacciones. Además, este trabajo que me ha mantenido contenta y motivada, ha sido admirado por personas que me han invitado a bordar con ellas aquí en Bogotá, lo cual se traduce en una propuesta de trabajo que me gusta. Tus bordados están preciosos, que bueno que hayas podido avanzar hasta éste punto, pues el trabajo de bordar 2 docenas de pañuelos ha de ser titánico. Mis favoriitos de los nos has compartido son los amarillos, pues me recuerdan un atardecer.
Las amigas de tu mamá va a atesorar estos pañuelos.
