Hello community lover of threads and needles, I wish you an excellent and blessed week, the days are moving fast, the children in my country are already incorporated to school activities and moms are in adaptation mode after about a month of vacation heh, heh, the month of December was quite active and I was able to advance several sewing projects, today I share the development of a beautiful project: Star Guide of the Magi, in which I combined three colors of fabric.
The elaboration is simple and requires little time, but when using fur as stuffing I had difficulty to turn the star, the fur left the fabrics very rigid and some of them unraveled a little when I turned them over, I had to sew again and iron the stars already turned over so that they would not be lifted, after several minutes ironing the stars were firm and I could continue with the project.
Hola comunidad amante de los hilos y agujas, deseo tengan una excelente y bendecida semana , los días avanzan rapidamente, ya los niños en mi país se incorporaron a la actividades escolares y las mamás andamos en modo adaptación luego aproximadamente un mes de vacaciones je, je, el mes de diciembre fue bastante activo y pude adelantar varios proyectos de costura, hoy comparto la elaboración de una hermoso proyecto: Estrella Guía de los Magos, en la cual combiné tres colores de tela.
La elaboración es sencilla y requiere poco tiempo, pero al usar pelón como relleno tuve dificultad para voltear la estrella, el pelón dejó las telas muy rígidas y alguna se descosieron un poco al voltearlas, me tocó coser nuevamente y planchar las estrellas ya volteadas para que no quedaran levantadas, luego de varios minutos planchando las estrellas quedaron firmes y pude continuar con el proyecto.

I started by marking the patterns on the fabric, then with the iron I glued the fur, I only marked the pattern on one fabric; since I will use it as a guide for sewing.
Inicié marcando los patrones en la tela, luego con la plancha pegué el pelón, el patrón solo lo marqué en una tela; ya que lo usaré como guía para coser.
I sewed each star using straight stitch, with a zig zag scissors I removed the excess fabric and made small cuts in the corners being careful not to touch the seam.
Cosí cada estrella usando puntada recta, con una tijera de zig zag retiré el exceso de tela e hice pequeños cortes en las esquinas con cuidado de no tocar la costura.
I made a small opening in the center of each star to flip them over, at this point I had difficulty, the fabric was very stiff because of the peeling and it took me more than an hour to finish flipping the stars, I also had to sew again some; to remove the tips I used a height stick and ironed the stars with easy ironing, they were very stiff and this liquid softened them a little, so I could work more comfortable, in a next project that requires to be flipped over I think I will use wadding is more flexible and manageable.
Hice una pequeña abertura en el centro de cada estrella para voltearlas, en este punto tuve dificultad, la tela quedó muy rígida por el pelón y me tomó más de una hora terminar de voltear las estrellas, también tuve que coser nuevamente algunas; para sacar las puntas usé un palillo de altura y planché las estrellas con fácil planchado, estaban muy rígidas y este líquido las suavizó un poco, así pude trabajar más cómodo, en un próximo proyecto que requiera ser volteado creo que usaré guata es más flexible y manejable.
The last step is to glue the stars organized by size, starting with the largest, then the medium one, making sure that the tips are facing outwards, finally the smallest one, I pinned it and to decorate I placed a wooden button in the center of the golden star, I put the hanging piece in the back and the project is finished.
El último paso es pegar la estrellas organizadas por tamaño , iniciando con la más grande, luego la mediana cuidando que la puntas queden hacia afuera, finalmente la más pequeña, sujeté con alfileres y para decorar coloqué un botón de madera en el centro de la estrella dorada, puse el colgadero en la parte de atrás y así está terminado el proyecto.
Each project carried out implies a new learning and also improving and correcting the techniques that are known, another possibility is to find ideas along the way that allow us to work comfortably and achieve a good finish, trial and error allows us to discard and classify the appropriate materials for certain jobs, the result is beautiful and the time invested was worth it.
Cada proyecto realizado implica un nuevo aprendizaje y también mejorar y corregir las técnicas que se conocen, otra posibilidad es encontrar en el camino ideas que nos permitan trabajar cómodo y lograr un buen acabado, el ensayo y error nos permite ir descartando y clasificando los materiales adecuados para determinados trabajos, el resultado está hermoso y el tiempo invertido valió la pena.
