To begin, I prepared the flannel pattern, making sure it was well aligned on the fuchsia microduasno fabric. I used sharp sewing scissors to achieve precise, clean cuts. I carefully cut the back and front of the flannel, making sure to follow the pattern markings to ensure both pieces were symmetrical. The hood is circular in shape, making it impossible to cut in one piece. Therefore, I decided to cut two separate pieces that I will then join in the center. I placed the hood pattern on the fabric and traced the lines. I cut the two pieces carefully, paying attention to the curvature so that they would be perfectly aligned when joined together.

With all the pieces cut out it's time to bring the flannel to life, I used an overlock machine which is great for sewing and finishing the edges at the same time ensuring the garment comes out clean and professional. I took the front and back of the flannel and placed them right sides together. I secured the pieces with pins so they wouldn't move during sewing. I used the overlock machine to attach the shoulders, sewing from one end to the back. other. The overlock not only joins the pieces, but also finishes the edges, preventing the fabric from fraying. Next, I joined the sides of the flannel. Again, I placed the pieces right sides together and secured them with pins. I sewed from the bottom of the flannel to the armhole, using the overlock machine to ensure a clean, sturdy seam. I also sewed the hood together, joining the two pieces and thus forming its shape.

Now that the flannel is partially sewn, it's time to attach the hood. This step requires precision to ensure the hood is centered and snug. I placed the hood on the collar of the flannel, making sure the right sides of both pieces were together. I used pins to secure the hood in place, starting in the center and working out to the sides. This is crucial so that the hood is perfectly centered. I sewed around the neck with the overlock machine, making sure to follow the sewing line and keep the fabric stretched evenly.

After attaching the hood, it's time to put the final finish on the flannel by sewing the hems and sleeves. Once all the hems and sleeves are sewn, I checked the flannel to make sure everything was in place. I checked that the seams were well done and that the garment had a professional finish.
