Hello hiveians
Good morning and welcome to a beautiful day, I hope you all are doing great just as I am.
It's Christmas season and this is the time when all fashion designers are busy making different outfits for clients for the season.
I will be sharing with you the making of this flare gown I made for a little girl for the celebration of Christmas.
A client of mine brought 8 yards of Ankara fabric to be made for her three daughters, I will be using 3 yards of fabric each for the two elder ones while the remaining 2 yards will be use for the little girl.
Let's get started with the cutting and sewing process of this flare gown for the little girl which was done in less than 1 hour.
The two yards of fabric was folded in triangular shape to cut the waist circumference and the full length after deducting the half length measurement.
The remaining fabric was used to cut the upper bodice and also the lining to give it a neat finishing.
I intended to make a flare sleeve for both hands but the fabric was not enough after cutting out one of the sleeve, I was shocked to see that the remaining fabric won't be able to cut out the other flare sleeve, so I decided to make it a style be cutting out a straight sleeve for the other sleeve.
All these pieces were sewn together on my sewing machine and this is the finished dress.
This is for the little girl, the sewing of her elder sisters dress will be posted after all work has been done.
Nice dress, I like the print of the fabric.
Thanks @jurich60 I'm glad you like it.
