It's a beautiful week and I lovely Monday to you all out there and I bring you greetings from this part of the world knowing well that you are all doing great. It's my pleasure to share with you today in this great community #needleworkmonday the cutting and sewing process of this beautiful matching pouch/cross body bag I made to complement my Sunday outfit

This is made from the left over fabric I had after making a complete short gown outfit for myself from 3yards of fabric, the remaining pieces was left for a very long time until I decided to use it to make this pouch for myself for my phone and other items that I might want to go out with, I made this in such a way that it can be carried as a pouch or a cross body bag with the handle fixed to the sides which was detached from another bag.

Cutting and sewing process is shown below.

From the left over fabric, I measured and cut out 2 pieces of 8 x 6"

I cut out another 2 pieces of plain fabric which was a matching color measuring 8 x 3"

The two pieces of fabric were sewn together and top stitched while I made a curve at the base.

This pieces were placed on matching lining to cut out same shape and interfacing was ironed on the main fabric.

After cutting out the lining, from the curve I made, I took 1" dart on the main fabric and lining as well.

I took a zipper and sew it on the main fabric with lining placed on it and it was sewn on both sides.

It was top stitched on as well on both sides while I made a small piece on both for the handle.

Then I placed fabric to fabric and lining to lining before it was sewn round leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out.

It was turned inside out through the opening on the lining and I have my beautiful matching pouch ready.

I had this handle detached from another bag and fixed to both sides of the pouch I made to make a cross body bag as well.

The good thing is that from the left over fabric, I made a hair scrunchies and now, I made a pouch to complement my outfit, you can see how nice this looks. Unfortunately, I couldn't take pictures of me wearing this complete accessories with my outfit because I had a low battery.
