Hola mis amores, espero que estén muy bien. ¿Adivinen? Sigo tejiendo virgencitas, como les dije antes a veces me entra la fiebre de tejer una figura en específico y en eso ando. Estoy muy contenta porque al fin me atreví a tejer esta hermosura de Virgencita 😍, aunque no me haya quedado hermosa para mí es la más bonita creación que he realizado en todos estos tiempos. No saben con cuánta emoción la tejí. Siento que este año 2025 ha empezado repleto de bendiciones. Empezando porque mi madre ha mejorado muchísimo su salud y pudo estar conmigo varios días.

Hello my loves, I hope you are very well, guess what? I'm still knitting virgencitas, as I told you before sometimes I get the fever to knit a specific figure and that's what I'm doing. I am very happy because I finally dared to knit this beautiful little Madonna 😍, although it was not beautiful for me it is the most beautiful creation I have made in all these times. You don't know with how much emotion I knitted it. I feel that this year 2025 has started full of blessings. Starting with the fact that my mother's health has improved a lot and she was able to be with me for several days.

Muchos mexicanos no lo saben, pero nosotros en Venezuela crecemos conociendo México, mediante sus canciones, novelas, películas y series. Desde que empecé a tejer me han llamado la atención los amigurumis de vírgenes y al fin pude tejer una con mis propias manos. Me limitaba el no tener los hilos adecuados ya que deseaba hacer una virgencita bien bonita. Luego de tanto esperar en vano completar los hilos me decidí a tejerla con los materiales disponibles. Coloqué todos los hilos en la cesta 🧺 y me dije: hoy es el día de hacerla. También tardé porque no me atrevería a sacar un patrón y arrepentirme de haberla tejido fea, así que fui seleccionando patrones de la web para luego decidir cuál usar.

Many Mexicans don't know it, but we in Venezuela grew up knowing Mexico through its songs, novels, movies and series. Since I started knitting I have been interested in amigurumis of virgins and finally I was able to knit one with my own hands. I was limited by not having the right yarns because I wanted to make a pretty little virgin. After waiting so long in vain to complete the yarns I decided to knit her with the available materials. I put all the yarns in the basket 🧺 and I said to myself: today is the day to make it. I also took a while because I wouldn't dare to take out a pattern and regret having knitted it ugly, so I went selecting patterns from the web to then decide which one to use.

La Virgen de Guadalupe es una de las representaciones marianas más venerada por la iglesia católica, conocida también como la Guadalupana o Virgen Morena. Todos los 12 de diciembre se rinde homenaje a esta virgen con fiestas muy tradicionales y propias de la región. Son muy bonitas las fiestas.
Tengo que contarles que en la actualidad tengo más conexión con personas de México, aunque siempre he tenido amigos de por esas tierras. Uno de mis compañeros de trabajo se mudó para allá, vive en Querétaro, otros conocidos que viven en Puebla y en la ciudad de México. Ahora interacciono con personas de diferentes partes de México a través de las redes sociales y por supuesto por aquí por #hive. ¡Me emociona mucho presentarles mi virgencita porque hace mucho quería tejerla!

En otra plataforma ví un perfil de venta de tejidos a CROCHET y quedé boquiabierta, sobre el exhibidor habían Vírgenes de todo tamaño. ¡Guao! Es una imagen muy querida y solicitada por los creyentes. La cuenta es administrada por una señora mexicana que vive en los Estados Unidos. Dice que es una de las creaciones que más vende. ¡Es que el amigurumi de la virgen es muy lindo!

The Virgin of Guadalupe is one of the most venerated Marian representations by the Catholic Church, also known as the Guadalupana or Virgen Morena. Every December 12, homage is paid to this virgin with very traditional festivities typical of the region. The festivities are very beautiful.
I have to tell you that nowadays I have more connection with people from Mexico, although I have always had friends from those lands. One of my co-workers moved there, he lives in Querétaro, other acquaintances live in Puebla and Mexico City. Now I interact with people from different parts of Mexico through social networks and of course here through #hive. I'm very excited to introduce you to my little virgin because I've wanted to knit it for a long time!

On another platform I saw a profile of CROCHET fabrics for sale and I was amazed, on the display there were Virgins of all sizes. Wow! It is an image very loved and requested by believers. The account is managed by a Mexican lady who lives in the United States. She says it is one of the creations she sells the most, because the amigurumi of the Virgin is so cute!

Se puede notar en mi proyecto que usé dos tipos de hilos, el de algodón de siempre (pabilos) y el estambre (acrílico). El acrílico lo usé para tejer la cara, las manitas y el cabello. Se teje rápido, pero tiene algunos detalles que fui realizando con mucha paciencia. Empecé a tejer a 6 de la tarde y terminé antes de las 12 de la noche, tenía sueño, pero me ganó la emoción por terminarla. El último detalle fue colocarle el borde blanco en sus ojitos. ¿Cómo la ven? ¿Les gusta? Siempre quiero repetir estos proyectos 😃 porque son hermosos.

Ahora solo me faltaría tejer rosas blancas, colocarlas en un jarrón al lado de la virgencita y esperar sus milagritos. You can see in my project that I used two types of yarn, the usual cotton yarn (wicks) and worsted (acrylic). I used the acrylic to weave the face, the hands and the hair. It weaves quickly, but it has some details that I made with a lot of patience. I started knitting at 6 o'clock in the afternoon and finished before 12 o'clock at night, I was sleepy, but I was so excited to finish it. The last detail was to put the white border on her little eyes, how do you see it, do you like it? I always want to repeat these projects 😃 because they are beautiful.

Now I just need to weave white roses, place them in a vase next to the little virgin and wait for her miracles.
