RE: Are Fashion Designers Magicians?

in NeedleWorkMondaylast year

Lady!!! Can I just say I love your style better than the original!!!!!! 🤩

I loved reading through your post. Being a daughter of a seamstress I saw my mother for many years work a sense of “magic” with clients request. I think people get so excited about wanting a certain style they don’t think about the reality of not having enough fabric and materials to achieve it. They want you all as designers to “make it happen” lol.

I must say I commend you for taking the initiative to prove that as a designer you can still make a beautiful similar piece with what you have. I was excited to read that she saw it and wanted you to continue making hers. It’s absolutely stunning and beautifully made. That fabric is gorgeous and the flow of the outfit is amazing. You go on ahead and work those creative fingers!!! 😃👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Very impressive work my dear ~ 💯

Thank you so much ma'am, reading your comment made me smile.

It's such a beautiful thing to believe in one's talent or ability to think outside the box even when people do not believe in you, I believe if I hadn't made one for myself she wouldn't be convinced that something good can come of out whatever fabrics she was giving to me.

These are some of the challenges we face as designers too, meeting a client who wants more than their fabric can offer😄😄.

Thank you for visiting and leaving a very beautiful comment on my blog, it gladdened my heart.

Always ~ 🤗😘

I believe that too. It took some convincing for her to give you a chance but I’m glad you were able to prove your point. 👏🏽
