Hello, friends especially needleworkers!

After I skimmed the WIP Challenge article

https://peakd.com/hive-127911/@needleworkmonday/needleworkmondays-wip-challenge

from our @needleworkmonday community, i thought it is a good opportunity for us as the members to join this challenge. But it made me think twice, first I know I have many of the unfinished abandoned projects but I was not sure, which one to continue or even modify… But after I communicated with @jicrochet then I realized that yes, the challenge doesn’t mean we have to finish the project in the 2 months of the term, but we just progressed so then I read carefully to the article and then decided to enter this challenge. So I opened the closet where I put all of my crafts need last night.

Well, mine is not a large closet to put all of my craft needs, because I needed to share between my 3 hobbies there, I have some drawing equipments, fabrics as I love felt crafts, some other fabrics such as the cross stitch aida fabrics, and I also still had yarns, hooks there, still there handsewing needs even paper crafts need. So even little, my closet contains almost all that I need to do crafting. Sometimes I just wonder if I had a suitcase like Newt Scamander had to put them all, lol.

Now let me introduce you so many abandoned projects that I have… First I would start from the cross stitch sections, well I left them for some years. Well, oh no, these were some, and I would start to explain from the top left.

I remembered that I would like to make a tiny cushion with lollipops and also candies on it, but I only made the lollipop on the top, then didn’t continue it. While the left bottom one, I once planned to make a small long cushion with it but then I realized that the color didn’t look well with the fabric then I stopped my working (actually I spent already too much time in doing it before realized it, what a waste of time :’).. Next let me tell you about one on the right, the bunnies I thought I would make easter bunny theme tissue box cover but then I changed my mind, and I even couldn’t remember why? No wonder because I left them untouchable for several years..

And good thing is, I still have two other more cross stitch projects that I left behind, I even don’t remember what are these going to be? Any ideas? By the way I also left them for several years already, how time flies!

Well and I still have some Christmas theme abandoned cross stitch projects, the first one on the left was a red car, I was going to make it as a gift then I realized that the fabrics was not good at all, it even too rough for a project, but it looked okay in the camera… well, then the Christmas tree, I remember that I ran out of the floss and I couldn’t find the other with the same color (I forgot the number of the color actually, lol), next I couldn’t remember why I didn’t continue the snowman, dog and the Christmas mini sock, well I couldn’t remember all.. OMG, look you could count, I have 10 abandoned projects already..

Now let us continue to the hand embroidery, my abandoned projects were……

20220706_080331.jpg

Hmm, owl I would like to do x stitch not on the holes fabric so I couldn’t continue it, too difficult. Then the bear face, I forgot what would I make with this actually. And the cute pretty flower garden, oh wow think I could get something nice with this embroidery on the top, right? Daisy duck, well I thought once I would like to make a pouch with it, but somehow I also discontinued it.. Oh my another 4 abandoned projects. Well and it keeps going…

Even in crocheting that I just started this year, I already made many abandoned projects already, haha. Look, I planned to make the red heart (as I remembered), but somehow I didn’t continue it (why?), supposed because I tempted to make another project, then I also made some HDC with the soft blue grey color yarn then I confused of what to make then I just loved it much to release it (haha). The bottom showed two attempts for me to make crochet bags. Left one I tried to make the shell pattern, but the mixed color of the yarn annoyed and distracted the pattern so I just let it go, but I love, really love it that I cannot release the yarn, I was so in love, even I know it now that maybe the yarn won’t be enough for the project, and last, the blue color yarn I loved, I tried t-shirt yarn to make a bag too, net bag, but it just left because I didn’t have the proper size of the crochet hook actually :,..

And for this community and in my attempt to finish one from the abandoned projects I have, I already bought the larger size of the crochet hook. I was glad that it came in just a day after i had bought it online.. btw, you must could guess one of the project that I would continue right now..?

I also bought the tapestry needle and some pins to mark my crochet. Love them all and I would continue one of my abandoned projects soon, pray that I could finish more than 1 of the abandoned projects!

Oh yeah I was also so happy to find some of the felt plushie patterns in my closet and some embroidery hoops last night, I remembered that I bought it for a project that I never begin until now.. lol.

I like how this contest is making us revisit all our unfinished works! I know I have an abandoned cross stitch project somewhere too, it just got buried with all the unfinished crochet projects I started. Wish you all the best! Can't wait to see the finished products.

Thank you very much, let's encourage each other through this challenge @romeskie 😊

Oh, it looks so cute. and I have not embroidered with a cross for many years now I sew with beads. and cool organizers I have the same drawers where I store everything🧵🌐♥️✏️

Thank you :) well you could start again and even combine both, think it will be so awesome, embroidered with beads! Great that we have the same drawers 🙂

Wow there's all beautiful I wonder why you choose to dump them actually for me I just pray you're able to correct them thanks for sharing @devyleona

I congratulate you @devyleona it is the best choice you made, I know that with a lot of dedication you will achieve your goals.

Thanks a lot for the support @lrscarmen :)

Hello.

To use for the first time the 8 mm crochet needle, you are going to take up the crochet hook. It must be a delight to knit with these materials.

From what you show you have an inordinate passion for embroidery. I'm sure you will present us with some of these unfinished projects.

I like your stash. It's good to have a little bit of everything. I love to work with felt too, but it's a pretty expensive fabric around here.

I'm glad you're joining the challenge. Welcome to the challenge.

:) thank you very much

I love those bunnies and pretty flowers. Although you have a build up of WIPs it will feel good even if you can finish just one or two. We want this challenge to make us feel accomplished which is why we expressed the point about not feeling as if you have to fully complete them. Taking the time to organize and work on our unfinished projects is a great accomplishment in itself.

Thanks for sharing yours! Have fun progressing ~

Thanks @crosheille so glad i could join this challenge, maybe i wish i could finish at least 2 of them :) (psst think i would finish the flowers you love, and the bunny i think i still haven't any ideas of what to do to accomplish actually... any suggestions?)

I bet you can finish two or even more!! 😍

Hmmm, I don’t have any ideas for the bunnies atm but if something comes to mind I’ll be back to tell you. 😉

I'm so excited that you have been encouraged to resume your projects, each one is beautiful and has a story behind it, I love that you already have crochet projects in process, and I'm even happier about how you have learned.

Let's see how we do trying to complete some of these projects, what is for sure is that we are going to have fun.

Yes thanks @jicrochet i know i will need many advices from you and other crochet masters in our community @needleworkmonday

I will be happy to support you
