Hey everyone.i hope you are all having a good day. I made this pretty mesh sorta tube top for myself. I dunno if that's a real thing buh yeah. I've been wanting to try out a new pattern for a while and then this just clicked.
My initial plan was to make a shirt I did a few like 4 rows or so and when I flipped it I just imagined a few more things on this piece and thought of it in a tube top and I was like yeppp. I'm definitely making a tube top and that's how this pink beautiful baby came alive in my hands and on your screen.
So about the shirt I made a design earlier and I wanted to duplicate the same design but in another color for myself before I had the idea to make this pretty tube mesh like top for myself.
Thing is I as a crocheter I don't have a lot of outfits in crochet that's if I have any so when I get free I try to sketch patterns or write out patterns I can use to make something unique for myself. While most of those designs end up in my store on a mannequin buh I just tend to admire the fact that I was capable of making something like that
I got the inspiration for this pattern from a few pictures of tube tops on my mobile device and also from a top I made years ago. I got to making the pattern and I started getting bored. I easily lose interest in plain designs so if I'm making something for myself I keep adding designs and layers so it'll keep me glued to the work.
I started with the 4 double crochet stitches and 1 mesh stitch then after a few rows I went on to make full double crochet stitches for a few rows and when I was getting tired of that I switched to making chains at tge edges of the bottom part of the top to give it that ragged look that jeans usually have.
When I finished making the top I moved to making the strap for the back. I've also noticed something when chains ate made to represent loops for tops that have criss Cross design behind it tends to stretch out the top and it doesn't end up looking so good. This time I experimented just putting the straps in the stitches at the edge and honestly lesser stretching for the cloth so I love this pattern
I put it on my mannequin and took a few pictures. I hope you all like it as much as I do. Tha k you for taking out time to read today's blog.
