I got a cute handbag for summer, which is very easy to knit and even a beginner knitter can cope with it.
Now I will share with you the creative process : )
I knitted with "Macramé" yarn from YarnArt. In total, I took almost three of these skeins.
I gather a chain of 59 loops.
And I knit it in a loopy pattern. This knitting turns out to be quite dense and the product holds its shape very well.
At the end of each row, be sure to knit an additional "lifting loop" to move on to the next row. Then the edge looks aesthetically pleasing and even.
Knit the required number of rows.
Now I want to draw your attention to the handle. In the row where the hole will be, I knit 18 loops as usual.
Then I make a chain of 23 loops.
I count out 23 loops on the fabric and join to 24 loops (or 42 if counting from the beginning of the row).
After that I continue knitting and knit 6 rows.
In my opinion, this is quite enough, but you can knit more or less, depending on your idea.
I knit two identical side pieces (size 22 by 28 cm), as well as the bottom of the bag (5 by 28cm).
The bottom of the bag is knitted in the same way as the main parts.
Now it is necessary to join them together. I did it by knitting the outer parts of the purse. It is possible to sew and then turn the product out. But I did not do so, because the knitting is very dense and such a seam would significantly reduce the size of the finished product. And the outer fastening looks beautiful, does not steal the volume of the product and gives the bag additional rigidity, so it holds its shape well.
I really like it when the bag can be worn over the shoulder, so I knitted an extra long strap. To do this, I made a chain of loops of the desired length and knitted three rows of stitchless stitching in the same way as the whole bag.
I can now say that the bag is ready)
