Tools of my Trade

For fast delivery of quality supplies, I depend on WAWAK, as do many other sewing professionals. I needed to replenish my thread supply in neutral colors and get some things for shirt tailoring.

The big item is called a tailor's ham (because of its shape) and is useful for pressing curved surfaces such as armholes and darts. WAWAK delivered it in a cute drawstring bag so it can hang in the ironing/pressing area.

The other items are a twin needle (for mimicking the parallel lines of coverstitching found on knit activewear) a cake of beeswax for use on hand sewing thread, all-purpose thread for general sewing, and 2 kinds of lightweight thread for sewing batiste and other lightweight shirt fabrics.

I even got a sheet of stickers as a free bonus, just for fun.

Now I need some time set aside to work with my new supplies. I hope to share more projects soon.

Pleasant purchases I must say, I think I do need that tailor ham too.
Can't wait to see how you will use these and what you will make next with the items.

Thank you. I have been busy caring for my youngest granddaughter while her parents are working, but Saturday might be a good day for sewing. !BBH
