Good Monday everyone, I hope you are well, I am cold but that is something common in me. Today I bring you the mold of a short jacket.
This is the finished model, then I am going to put the back of the molds.
Front mold, the sizes go from 36 to 56, I clarify that this time I made a version not so faithful to the mold because the fabric I used did not have the appropriate fall to copy it as it was.
Back mold, the measurements that are in the pen stay like this for all sizes.
Sleeve mold, I made size 44.
Lower and upper pocket mold, this is the first modification I made since my model does not have pockets.
Cut mold, remember to leave 1.0 cm for the seam allowance. Once they have all this, we will begin to tailor.
Well, the first thing we are going to sew are the front shoulders with the back ones, as seen in the image.
Then we are going to place the sleeves, like this in the image, remember to check well and match the front and back of the sleeves.
Before closing the sleeves, what I did was add a fabric that would replace the cuff fold, this would be the second modification that I made to this mold.
Once I did that with both sleeves, I proceeded to sew them together with the sides, as seen in the image.
Now we will dedicate ourselves to the neck and the entire contour of the jacket, for the neck, what I did was cut a strip of fabric with the measurements of the neck and sew it, as I did with the sleeve. I did it in parts to later join it with a hand seam. How it will be seen later.
This image corresponds to the front of the bag, where again I added a strip of fabric. I did not take a picture but they should do the same with the hem of the jacket.
Finally, in this case, I sewed each corner of the jacket by hand, as you can see in the image, and then I passed the machine straight to the entire contour to make it neat, I did the same with the sleeves. The other modification I made to this bag was not to put buttons or fasteners on it, and I did this because the fabric was very light and is for mid-season. So it seemed to me that this way it would be cooler when using it.
