Como les comenté en mi post pasado, ella estuvo de cumpleaños recientemente y este fin de semana será su fiesta temática y me pidió según “su tía favorita” que le diseñara su atuendo, al principio ni me imaginaba que sería así que accedí, pero cual sería mi sorpresa cuando ella me invitó a ver por enésima vez una de las películas de Harry Potter y me dijo - “listo tía ahí tienes mi regalo de cumpleaños el traje de Hermione incluida la única”.
As I mentioned in my previous post, her birthday was recently, and this weekend is her themed party. She asked me, "her favorite aunt," to design her outfit. At first, I had no idea what it would be, but I agreed. Then, to my surprise, she invited me to watch one of the Harry Potter movies (for what felt like the millionth time) and said, "There you go, Auntie, that's my birthday present – the Hermione costume, including the tie!"
Así que tenía tres proyectos que confeccionarle la falda plisada que nunca antes he hecho una, la túnica o capa que tampoco he realizado una y por supuesto la bufanda que ese es otro cuento, jajaja.
So, I had three projects to tackle: the pleated skirt (which I'd never made before), the robe or cloak (also a first for me), and, of course, the scarf – that's a whole other story, haha.
Me dediqué durante la semana en estos tres proyectos y hoy les traigo el primero que logré finalizar, para esta falda me tocó unir dos piezas de tela para darle el ancho que necesita, por la cantidad de pliegues que ella quería y también porque la quería con elástica para poder usarla por mayor tiempo, pues como está en periodo de crecimiento no quiere perderla rápido, así que multipliqué la cantidad de tela por pliegues 3 cm por 3 ósea 9 cm por pliegues y esa cantidad la multiplique hasta tener el ancho de la cintura para la falda.
I dedicated my week to these three projects, and today I'm sharing the first one I finished. Luego de tener el ancho deseado de tela planché y cortado por el largo que mi sobrina quería doblé y planché el ruedo y proseguí a coserlo, luego me dediqué a marcar de 3 cm en 3 cm tanto en la orilla de la pretina como en el ruedo,

Seguido cosí la pretina y coloqué la elástica, para finalizar por fin uno de su pedidos, lo más tedioso de este proyecto fue el planchar los tachones, necesitaban que quedaran lo mejor posible y bueno aunque me llevé varias quemaditas lo logré, este proyecto me llevó total unas 6 horas, pero por ella todo vale la pena.

Un tips para los pliegues, si te toca hacer nuevamente una falda de este modelo, puedes coser uno a uno basteando a mano, ya luego plancharás con más facilidad y te quedará perfecta y ya no te quemarás, igual te felicito, para ser tu primera vez te quedó hermosa, tu sobrina debe estar muy contenta, saludos 🥰
