Hi everyone and welcome to my blog
This is actually my first post here in this community, I believe by engaging on each others post, we will learn from each other
So I made this corset top for my cousin sister when she came for holiday at home, going back she went with it and wore the top, a friend of hers saw it and liked it
This very top I'm about to post is the one I made for her friend
She's using a different material though, I got to the market and got the necessary items I would be using to make the top, and below are the items I got
First, I folded the material into two to cut the back, in my measurements, I didn't include zipper allowance cause is a top with loop at the back, I divided her burst measurements into four and added two inches allowance, I did same with the waist measurement and my measurements was complete
I went ahead to subtract four around the burst to the waist area, inorder to get my loop measurements straight and beautiful, I cut the four inches out and the back was left open,
I went ahead to cut the front part of the dress,
I divided the material into two again, inserted the normal measurements together with the length,
From the upper part, I minus, 5 inches cause it was an off shoulder dress, I didn't want her burst area to be too open, towards the middle part of the folded material, I minus half inch and plaste my cup from the end of the half inch, I trace the cup just the way I want it to look in the dress, after that, I removed half inch from inside the cup area and cut,
At the length of the top, the front has a v line shape part from the waist to de hip which I already cut
I went ahead to cut my cup material in a flay shape and sew it to cover my cup, meanwhile, I already cut the linen of the dress also to make it look neat and fine
After sewing the fabric in the material, I went ahead to insert my bonny to the fabric and sew, I did same thing to the back where I was going to put my eyelid in the dress, then for the hand, the dress came with just a tiny robe hand which goes from the front to where the robe will be uses for the loop at the back
After I'm done with everything, I went ahead to insert my eyelet to the dress and here comes my end result
