RE: Upcycling my grandmas silk dress

You are so right, the thing is that people nowadays have the obsession to follow all the trends faithfully which are way much more than the previous years. As a result the only way to follow all the trends is to shop from fast fashion industries which are much cheaper and people has even stopped to pay attention to the quality of clothes they are wearing.

As a teenager I used to buy clothes from fast fashion stores because they had more accessible prices. The last 7 years I have realized many things and I only buy from small boutiques or second hand stores which I am obsessed with. I love the fact that I can find unique pieces that no one else can have, good quality fabrics and clothes and at the same time I do not support industries that take advantage of kids for work. The last year I also have start to sew clothes for myself and I am super stoked about it. Looking forward to gain the knowledge to design and sew whatever my imagination commands. 😊

Cain't wait to see your project finished with this amazing fabric!😀

aah yess!!:)
That was really nice to read! ❤️
Well I must say it was quite similar for me, and now I dont even find it difficult at all not to support the fast fashion business, because, as you said as well, it is really nice to find special clothes and fabrics secondhand. And then go on from there and make the whole garment yourself, is such an inspiring thing to do:)

Couldn't agree more with you!😊
