A hair bow for my daughter.

My daughter said to me "Mummy since you can crochet, can you please crochet a hair bow for me?" I was touched, but again i doubted if i really could do that. However, for my child i would go to great lengths to make sure she is happy.
I thought of using a colour or two because of the dress i picked for her and made the hair bow overnight so she could wear it to church the next day.

Materials Used:
Yarn (colours white and purple)
4mm Crochet hook
Scissors
Needle and thread or a darning needle
Stitch markers (optional)

Procedure:

1) The Bow- For row one (1), i made a slip knot and chain thirty-two (32) chains; skipped two (2) chains and made a half double crochet (hdc) in all stitches.

For row two (2); i chained two (2), turned my work over and made one (1) half double crochet into the back loop only in all stitches.

For row three (3); chained two, turned my work over and made one (1) half double crochet into the back loop only in all stitches.

I continued this until i was just okay with the width and this was my result

I then put a stitch marker into the seventeenth (17th) stitch to mark a point

Folded the piece into two and sewed it together(made sure my sewing together aligned with the stitch marker), pulled the yarn, tied the ends together and the body of my daughter’s bow was ready

I was happy it was already coming together at this point

2) The Bow Tail- Chained sixty (60) foundation chains for the bow tail, skipped two chains and made half double crochet into each stitch until the end. After that, i chained two and made a slip stitch into the last chain
