A LITTLE STORY OF MY CROCHET FLOWER BOUQUET JOURNEY!

Hello again, Dear Needleworkers! šŸŒø

I finally found some time to write about what happened during the seven months that I stopped writing since I was spending most of my time on crochet orders that I got online.

Some of you know me, but for those who are new and haven't know me yet, I just want to share a short story about my three years of making crochet flower bouquets every Valentine's Day.

I started making crocheted flower bouquets way back in 2022. Valentine's Day had already passed by, and I was awed by the amazing and lovely crocheted flower bouquets that I saw on Facebook, so I decided to give it a try.

My first crochet flower bouquet.

My first flower bouquet was given to my mother-in-law on her birthday. At that time, I didnā€™t have a hard time making tulips, but I got so stressed about wrapping themā€”to the point that she was the one who taught me how to wrap them. Even so, she was still happy with the flowers I gave.

Then, my cousinā€™s girlfriend, ordered a flower bouquet for her mother. I got so excited because she was my FIRST CUSTOMER to order a crocheted flower bouquet from me.

Of course, crocheting the flowers was easy, but arranging and wrapping them was a different story. I got super stressed trying to make it look beautiful.

It took me a day to crochet all the flowers, but wrapping them took me two days. I watched a LOT of videos on how to wrap flowers and even downloaded some, but nah, they didnā€™t help. I changed my wrapping style multiple times, and ruined some flower wrappers until I thought it looked decent.

Then came the 2nd, 3rd, 4th customers, until I lost count.

FEBRUARY 2023 was my first Valentineā€™s Day with so many flower bouquet orders. I didnā€™t expect it. Most of themā€”around 95%ā€”were complete strangers. (Thanks to God for directing them to me.) There was only one customer I couldnā€™t cater to because I was exhausted and didnā€™t have enough time.

FEBRUARY 2024. Some of my customers from 2023 ordered flowers again. I truly appreciated that because I already considered them my regular customers. There were new customers also who were complete strangers who placed their orders and paid without hesitation. I was so thankful that they had trusted me even if they didn't know me personally.

In return, I always made sure they were satisfied and happy with their flower bouquets. What stuck in my mind was their smiles when they received the flowers and their affirmation that they were "WORTH IT."

I had 3-4 more customers that time, but I couldnā€™t accommodate their orders anymore as it was too late to make the flowers.

I thought of adding some dried baby's breath and some artificial eucalyptus to my flower bouquets here to make them look more beautiful.

FEBRUARY 2025. As early as December, I thought I should start preparing flowers, but I only made a few since I was busy with other orders.

By January, I posted a reservation for Valentine's Day, but there wasnā€™t much response.

Then, something unexpected happened. One customer ordered a lot of single tulips, individually wrapped, plus three flower bouquets. I just know her with her native bags being shipped internationally with lots of foreign customers.

After that, my cousin Rain Rain also ordered another bunch of single tulips to display in her shop.

Then February came. A week before Valentine's Day, I received more orders from my regular customers, and some new customers were added to the list. I was so busy, making sure to finish one flower bouquet per day.

Thanks to my husband, who was always there to help me and even took over all the house chores so I could wake up at 3-4 AM and sleep late at night just to finish all the orders.

A day before Valentine's, my Messenger was flooded. I ignored the messages. šŸ˜… There were so many message requests, but I wasnā€™t even excited anymore. šŸ¤£

I really wanted to accommodate all the orders, but my energy couldnā€™t take it anymore.

Then, there was one last customer who ordered three flower bouquets, which needed almost 50 pieces of flowers to complete. There was no way I could finish it before Valentine's Day.

I asked God for help because it seemed impossible to complete it on time. But to my surprise, the customer messaged me and said, "Take your time; it's okay if I get it tomorrow." Waaahh šŸ˜ā€”all my stress disappeared instantly.

These are the three flower bouquets ordered by the last customer.

At that moment, I realized how blessed and loved I am by God. He answers even my unspoken prayers. Well, He always listens. And then I remembered that I had prayed for this kind of business. No wonder so many strangers just order and pay without hesitation. He directs them to me.šŸ„°

I went through a lot, and those experiences helped me improve my crocheted flower bouquets. I always keep in mind that if I canā€™t handle a situation anymore, thereā€™s someone I can call for help. And, Lord, you never cease to surprise me. Many thanks for it.

I hope that this story inspires even one person. Thank you for your time reading my post and God bless everyone.

Yours truly,

@jonalyn2020 šŸ˜˜šŸ˜˜šŸ˜˜
