Good day hive family, hope your day is going well.
I'm here to show you how I made this bubu gown.
Here I have my canpala material, lining, asoke, Zip, tassel, tape, chalk, and my scissor .
First thing to do, I measure out my length from the full material and fold it by two, i ensure it gives me the size I want and measure out my hand pit and neck using my chalk to trace it out and cut.
I also fold the other side of the material and place the first one I cut on the other one and I give out one point five inches allowance for my zip for the back side and I cut it out after that I cut out my lining for it by placing the material on the lining and cut out the exact shape.
Then i proceeded to cut out my hand and Pocket.
Before fixing the lining I will first fix the asoke.
This is how the asoke is.
And I measure out sixteen inches from it and fold it by two which he gives me thirty two inches and I use my chalk to trace out where I will it to have the shape I want.
After that I sew it out from the line I trace out and I Cut out the extra material that is there, and when it's open, it gives me that V curve shape that I want.
Then I place it in front of the material Sew it.
Now after that I proceed to fix my lining for both side of the gown which is the front and back side.
This is the front.
The back side.
After that I also cut out my asoke and fix it at the pocket.
After all that I proceed to join the both side of the gown together, fix my hand, pocket and the tassel in the front and finally here is the bubu gown ready to wear.
Thank you for stopping by to check on my post.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
