Hello everybody,
This is my new granny square top.
Last November 26, 3024, my 2nd daughter informed me that the Seniors Christmas Gift would be distributed starting November 30, since my family name starts with letter C for sure I'll be included on that day. When I knew about it I was thinking to also view the huge Christmas Tree Balls in Mandaue City because it is just near Lapu-Lapu City where I will claim the Senior Citizen Christmas gift. Then, I thought, hmm I must wear a new crochet top. So, I search my stash if I have the materials, luckily I have 5 ply mercerized cotton color yellow, I have 4 balls. Without delay I started right away, with granny square, the easiest design for me.
Making my yellow Tshirt as my pattern guide especially for the size.
I really thought the 4 balls can be enough to finished the top I was wrong, the front consumed 3 1/2 balls! Ho! My! How big I am hahaha. So, I looked for more 5ply, it was good I have 4 brown color. So, I rushed making it because two more days it will be November 30, I did not bother taking pictures of the back part or the brown color. I just crochet and crochet. At last on November 29, midnight I finished joining the sides but not yet weave the ends I just woke up early in the morning. It was Mid-night and I was so sleepy already. Hubby told me to sleep and be prepared for an alternative to wear if ever I can't finish the top on time. While I was sleeping I was thinking what will be the partner of my top. Then,hmm bright idea came up, at dawn I searched the crocheted recycled denim skirt I made 6 yrs ago.
At 6 am I was up already and set up my phone cam snappin' my OOTD that day November 30.
Past 7am we travelled to the area designated for claiming the senior gift. After claiming we passed by the yarn store, bought some yarns for me and for my granddaughter who crochet, too. Then, went to the Christmas Balls Tree.
Happy much we brought along our greatgrandaughter though still a child appreciate hand work, pointing to the Christmas balls saying "beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!"
