I am making these bookmarks at the request of a friend who is a teacher and has a book club with her class and she tells me that the children are fascinated with the animal figures. Let's see how to make it, the figure is very basic and from this model other animals could be made just changing the color and some other details. | Estos marcalibros los estoy realizando a petición de una amiga que es profesora y tiene con su clase un club de lectura y me comenta que los niños están fascinados con las figuras de animalitos. Veamos cómo realizarlo, la figura muy básica y a partir de este modelo se podrían realizar otros animales solo cambiando de color y algunos otros detalles. |
The head we are going to work it in figure of 8. Let me explain: first we make a disk of 24 points in its diameter. For this we make a magic ring and on it we raise six low stitches. Me explico: primero realizamos un disco de 24 puntos en su diámetro. Para ello hacemos un anillo mágico y sobre éste levantamos seis puntos bajos. En lo sucesivo realizamos seis aumentos por vuelta hasta llegar a la altura deseada. Para este caso realicé 5 vueltas y seguidamente realicé una vuelta con una disminución cada dos puntos. Cambiamos el color del hilo y realizamos una vuelta sin aumentos. En la siguiente realizamos un aumento cada dos puntos y seguimos avanzando sin aumentos. |

We also make the horns, the legs and the ears. For the ears we pick up five low stitches in a magic ring, we make one row without increases and then we increase to 10, then to 15 and from there we make 3 rows without increases, to finish decreasing until we have 10 stitches available. With a wool needle we sew on the edge with a simple stitch to give the leaf shape. The legs are ribbons of three low stitches with gray color and then decreases to two stitches changing to brown thread. | A parte realizamos los cuernos, las patas y las orejas. Para las orejas levantamos cinco puntos bajos en un anillo mágico, hacemos una vuelta sin aumentos y luego aumentamos a 10, luego a 15 y de allí realizamos 3 vueltas sin aumentos, para terminar disminuyendo hasta tener 10 puntos disponibles. Con una aguja lanera cosemos en el borde con una puntada simple para dar la forma de hoja.
