Feliz y bendecido día mis muy apreciados amigos de esta colmena #Needleworkmonday, que gusto poder saludarlos una vez más y compartir con ustedes un nuevo proyecto de costura. Hace aproximadamente 6 años cuando estaba viviendo en Venezuela, estaba en un grupo de crossfit, donde estabamos cinco chicas de diferentes edades, nos propusimos hacernos uniformes, porque teníamos una competencia y queríamos diferenciarnos del resto de los demás grupos, pero la competencia era el siguiente dia, y lo más sencillo o más rápido que nuestra amiga costurera podía realizar era una sudadera sin mangas y sin capucha; me recordé de este tiempo y dije: voy a realizar una sudadera pero esta vez la voy a hacer con capucha, sin mangas pero con capucha y ese es el proyecto de costura que quiero compartir hoy con ustedes, una sudadera deportiva con capucha sin mangas.

About 6 years ago when I was living in Venezuela, I was in a crossfit group, where we were five girls of different ages, we proposed to make uniforms, because we had a competition and we wanted to differentiate ourselves from the rest of the other groups, but the competition was the next day, and the simplest or fastest that our friend seamstress could make was a sweatshirt without sleeves and without hood; I remembered this time and I said: I am going to make a sweatshirt but this time I am going to make it with a hood, sleeveless but with a hood and that is the sewing project I want to share with you today, a sleeveless hooded sports sweatshirt.

Para la confección de esta sudadera, lo primero que haremos como siempre, es sacar nuestros patrones, en este caso la parte delantera, la parte trasera y la capucha de nuestra sudadera. En esta oportunidad trabajé con un solo patrón, que fue el de la parte delantera y con este saqué la parte trasera cortando 3 cm más arriba del cuello.
To make this sweatshirt, the first thing we will do as always, is to draw our patterns, in this case the front, the back and the hood of our sweatshirt. This time I worked with only one pattern, which was the one for the front part and with this one I made the back part cutting 3 cm above the neck.
Luego uniremos los hombros y los laterales colocando siempre nuestras telas con los derechos enfrentados.
Then we will join the shoulders and sides, always placing our fabrics right sides together.
Después realizaremos un pequeño ruedo por todas las sisas de la sudadera.
Then we will make a small roll all around the armholes of the sweatshirt.
Una vez que hayamos terminado la sudadera, procedemos a trabajar con la capucha, para esto comenzaremos haciéndole un pequeño ruedo en las orillas rectas, es decir en la parte del frente de ésta.
Once we have finished the sweatshirt, we proceed to work with the hood, for this we will begin by making a small roll on the straight edges, that is, on the front part of it.
Posteriormente coseremos las dos partes de la capucha, por todo el borde curvo.
Then we will sew the two parts of the hood, along the curved edge.
Una vez que tengamos nuestras dos piezas terminadas, es decir, la sudadera y la capucha, procedemos unirlas a ambas, para esto, colocaremos la orilla inferior de la capucha con la orilla del cuello de la parte trasera de la sudadera colocándola derecho con derecho.
Once we have our two finished pieces, that is, the sweatshirt and the hood, we proceed to join them both, for this, we will place the lower edge of the hood with the edge of the neck of the back of the sweatshirt placing it right side to right side.
Después de haber unido estas dos piezas, procederemos a cocer un sesgo por todo el borde de la costura de la unión, que cubra también la parte delantera de la sudadera. Esto es para esconder la costura.
After we have joined these two pieces together, we will proceed to sew a bias binding all around the edge of the seam allowance, covering the front of the sweatshirt as well. This is to hide the seam.
Finalizamos nuestra sudadera haciéndole un pequeño ruedo por toda la parte de la orilla inferior.
We finish our sweatshirt by making a small roll all along the bottom edge.
Y así quedó esta sudadera que podemos usar para ir al gym, para ir a correr o simplemente para estar más fresca en nuestro hogar. Muchas bendiciones 🙏☺️.
