Today I am here, very happy to share with you my Monday work, it is about a beloved character called in video games, kirby, this character is characterized by being a pink spherical creature, with a great ability to absorb or swallow objects and transform them into stars.
As my daughter is a lover of this character, she has always wanted me to make him in amigurumi, but previously I did not dare to do it, I was not sure how it would look like; however, now that I have a little more experience I dared to do it, and I want to give her a big surprise for Valentine's Day, I'm sure she will be impressed.
Now my daughter is not living with me because I changed her school and we are a little far from home, so for now, she has no idea what I have as a surprise, we hardly see each other and that has affected me a lot, but she is already a big girl and she is starting to be independent with her activities, it is not easy for me, but she is in good hands and that reassures me.

El día de hoy me encuentro por aquí, muy feliz de poder compartirles mi trabajo de los lunes, se trata de un personaje muy querido llamado en los videos juegos, kirby, este personaje caracterizado por ser una criatura esférica de color rosa, con una gran habilidad de absorber o tragar objetos y transformarlos en estrellas.
Como mi hija es amante de este personaje, siempre ha querido que se lo haga en amigurumi, pero anteriormente no me atrevía hacerlo, no estaba segura de como me quedaría; sin embargo, ahora que tengo un poco más de experiencia me atreví hacerlo, y quiero darle una gran sorpresa para el día de San Valentín estoy segura que se va a quedar impresionada.
Ahora mi hija no está viviendo conmigo porque la cambie de liceo y estamos un poco lejos de casa, así que por ahora, no tiene ni idea, de lo que le tengo como sorpresa, casi no nos vemos y eso me ha afectado mucho, pero ya es grade y está empezando ser independiente con sus actividades, no es fácil para mí, pero está en buenas manos y eso me tranquiliza.
Espero que les gusten estos nuevos desafíos que estoy viviendo.

The material I chose to make this project was a thin nuanced worsted yarn, with shades between yellow, orange and pink, it looks amazing and I am sure it is the color that my daughter prefers, she is not a lover of darker pink so I wanted to make it with these shades, although when she asked me I had a darker pink and she told me that although it is not her favorite color if she got a pink kirby she would love it. Then, while I was knitting I had tears of emotion and nostalgia to see my daughter's happy face when she receives this gift that she has wanted so much.
The way I started making this beautiful character is very simple, since I know it is a ball, we start with a magic ring to begin a circumference that we will then expand and decrease to close; all the knitting is made with high stitches and slipped stitches.
El material que elegí para hacer este proyecto fue un madrejón de estambre matizado delgado, con tonalidades entre amarillo, anaranjado y rosado, se ve increíble y estoy segura que es el color que mi hija prefiere, ella no es amante del rosado más oscuro por eso lo quise hacer con estas tonalidades, aunque cuando me lo pidió yo tenía un rosado más oscuro y me dijo que aunque no es su color favorito si le regalaban un kirby rosado le encantaría. Entonces, mientras tejía se me salían las lágrimas de emoción y nostalgia de ver la carita feliz de mi hija cuando reciba este regalo que tanto ha querido.
La forma como empecé hacer este hermoso personaje, es muy sencilla, ya que sé tratarse de una pelota, se comienza con un anillo mágico para iniciar una circunferencia que luego iremos ampliando y disminuyendo para cerrar; todo el tejido está elaborado con puntos altos y puntos deslizados.

The number of pieces I knitted were 5, for the body, arms and feet.
To be honest, I did the body piece without counting the stitches, I really don't like to do it hahahaha, but as a rule, I had to do it, since these were pieces that should be neat.

Siendo honesta la pieza del cuerpo, la hice sin contar los puntos, en realidad no me gusta hacerlo jajajaja, pero por regla, debí hacerlo, ya que se trataba de piezas que deberían quedar prolijas.

When I completed all the parts, I put the pieces on the body to give it a good position before sewing them, and with a pencil I marked each place to sew each of the parts.
Finishing the sewing of all the pieces, I already had a defined figure of Kirby, I just needed to put the eyes and mouth, so with some scraps of foami, draw and cut then with hot silicone glue each piece, and that's how my beautiful pink ball was ready, ready to wrap and give the surprise to my beloved daughter.

Cuando complete todas las partes, presente las piezas en el cuerpo para darle una buena posición antes de coserlas, y con un lápiz marque cada sitio para luego coser cada una de las partes.
Finalizando el cosido de todas las piezas, ya tenía una figura definida de Kirby, solo me faltaba ponerle los ojos y la boca, así que con algunos retazos de foami, dibuje y corte luego con silicona caliente pegue cada pieza, y es así como ya estaba listo mi hermosa pelota rosa, lista para envolver y darle la sorpresa a mi amada hija.
