Good afternoon friends of the needles, I will not finish this Monday without stopping and sharing with you the amigurumi that I was asked to put in the galley of the murga, and I was inventing it little by little, to achieve a simple but characteristic amigurumi. Buenas tardes amigas de las agujas, no se me terminará este lunes sin frenar y compartirles el amigurumi que me pidieron para poner en la galera de la murga, y yo estuve inventandolo de a poco, para lograr un amigurumi simple pero característico. Espero que les guste, que lo disfruten y se la imaginen en carnaval! jaja
One morning I received a message from a friend of the murga telling me if I could take this order because she wanted to put it in her galley, because she loves the character of Alice in Wonderland, and if I understood correctly, she already has another character from this story; this made me really excited about the idea, because the sweetest thing is that she was looking for the amigurumi “pocket” size and although the small amigurumis are more difficult and detailed, I liked it very much.

Recibí una mañana un mensaje de una amiga de la murga diciéndome si podía tomar este pedido ya que ella quería colocarla en su galera, porque el personaje de Alicia en el País de las Maravillas le encanta, y si entendí bien, ella ya tiene otro personaje de esta historia; esto hizo que me termine de entusiasmar la idea, porque lo más tierno es que ella buscaba el amigurumi tamaño “pocket” y aunque los amigurumis pequeños son más difíciles y detallistas, me gustó muchísimo.

I would have liked to show you the progress before, but it was difficult to create and I was also doing it at times between seams of the suit, so its creation was not linear haha, so I tried to collect the photos that best reflect the progress, and as it was important for me to keep the record of my own “inventions” although they are taken as reference to other dolls and their sizes, I was noting back and forth what I was doing.

Me hubiera gustado mostrarles el avance antes, pero fue difícil de crear y también estuve haciendolo de a ratos entre costuras del traje, por lo que su creación no fue lineal jaja, asique traté de recolectar las fotos que mejor reflejan los avances, y como era importante para mí poder ir guardando el registro de mis propios “inventos” aunque son tomados como referencia otros muñecos y sus tamaños, fui anotando vuelta a vuelta lo que iba haciendo.
I started with the head, I chose the ideal size of the eyes and when I advanced a little with the light blue body, I chose the shades of yellow for the hair, as I was not really decided on all the details of its assembly, I was trying as I went along, until I found this way to make the hair and when I had almost half of the hair ready, I tested to see if I liked it and I think it was going pretty well.

Comencé por la cabeza, elegi el tamaño ideal de ojitos y cuando avancé un poco con el cuerpo de color celeste, fui eligiendo los tonos de amarillo para el cabello, como realmente no estaba decidida en todos los detalles de su armado, fui probando mientras avanzaba, hasta que di con esta forma de hacer el pelo y cuando tuve casi la mitad del pelo listo, hice pruebas a ver si me agradaba y creo que iba bastante bien.

At that point, I decided to start with the legs, which were not skin colored but white because they simulate little Alicia's stockings, inventing this part was not very difficult, I made two of the same and when I started to join them I also had to make different tests so that when joining the pieces they were not disproportionate, I wanted everything to be well sized and not to have too big legs, nor too short.

En ese punto, decidí comenzar con las piernas, que no eran color piel sino blanco porque simulan las medias de la pequeña Alicia, inventar esta parte no fue muy difícil, hice dos iguales y cuando empecé a unirlas tuve también que hacer distintas pruebas para que al unir las piezas no quedaran desproporcionadas, quería que todo estuviera bien dimensionado y no que tenga piernas muy grandes, ni muy cortas.

At some point when I started to do it, we had a talk where I offered to make her legs very long and that she would be sitting on the galley, this idea fascinated me, but then we understood that if the legs fall on some side, they would bother to be able to see well and dance, don't you think?

En algún momento cuando comencé a hacerlo, tuvimos una charla donde le ofrecí hacerle piernas bien largas y que estuviera sentada sobre la galera, esta idea me fascinó, pero luego entendimos que si las piernas caen por algún costado, molestarán para poder ver bien y bailar, ¿no creen?
The result was great, the details were few and divine, the black bow on the head and the white apron make you understand who it is and are really very simple to do. What really worried me was to know how it was going to be placed on the galley, because the hair was directly glued, I was not going to have time or patience to sew it. As I say, I used this activity to create in between the sewing of the suit, it was a week where I could have rested very little and I chose to use it as a stress reliever, so the idea was to make an amigurumi that would also be fun and not perfect and stressful haha.

El resultado fue genial, los detalles fueron pocos y divinos, el moño negro en la cabeza y el delantal blanco hacen que se entienda de quien se trata y son realmente muy sencillos de hacer. Lo que verdaderamente me preocupó fue saber cómo iba a ir colocado sobre la galera, porque el pelo fue directamente pegado, no iba a tener tiempo ni paciencia de coserlo. Como les digo, usé esta actividad para crear entre pausas de la costura del traje, fue una semana donde podría haber descansado muy poco y elegí usarlo como desestresante, asique la idea fue hacer un amigurumi que también fuese divertido y no perfecto y estresante jaja

The joining of the rest of the parts was a bit annoying because being small it wasn't easy, the heat didn't help and stuffing it was also a bit challenging haha, I really enjoyed making it and now I want to see him dancing on a galley at carnival. La unión del resto de las partes fue un poco molesta porque al ser pequeño no se hizo fácil, el calor no ayudó y rellenarlo también fue algo desafiante jaja, disfruté mucho de hacerlo y ahora quiero verlo bailar sobre una galera en carnaval. Espero que les haya gustado, esta semana descansaré un poco, pero siempre preparando ideas en mi cabeza para crear y compartirles. Un abrazo grande!!
