Hello my loves, happy Saturday, I am here again grateful to God for giving us the gift of life. This week is almost over I am back with you, sharing our projects.
This time I want to tell you that for a long time I have wanted to make a denim pants. I had the opportunity to go to the store, I ordered a meter of blue denim. I went to the course with my accessories to start cutting and my teacher Maria, who guided me, observed that I had not bought enough fabric to make the back pockets.
So I had no choice but to start making my dream pants without pockets.
Hola mis amores, feliz sábado, aquí estoy nuevamente agradecida con Dios por darnos el regalo de la vida. Esta semana que ya casi termina estoy de vuelta con ustedes compartiendo nuestros proyectos.
Esta vez quiero contarles que desde hace mucho tiempo quería hacer un pantalón de mezclilla. Tuve la oportunidad de ir a la tienda, pedí un metro de mezclilla azul. Fui al curso con mis accesorios para empezar a cortar y mi profesora María, que me guiaba, observó que no había comprado suficiente tela para hacer los bolsillos traseros.
Así que no tuve más remedio que empezar a confeccionar el pantalón de mis sueños sin bolsillos.
I placed my front and back measurements on the bond paper, cut to get the silhouette. I thought that the fabric was not going to be enough to get the 4 pieces, however I folded the fabric to the maximum, placed the two legs, one on the top and one on the bottom, and pinned them. At the moment of cutting I realized that I had not left the space where the zipper goes, wow it can't be, the red alarm went off, first mistake, but well I drew on the fabric and cut.
Coloqué las medidas de la parte delantera y trasera sobre el papel bond, corté para conseguir la silueta. Pensé que la tela no iba a ser suficiente para conseguir las 4 piezas, sin embargo doblé la tela al máximo, coloqué las dos patas, una arriba y otra abajo, y las prendí con alfileres. En el momento de cortar me di cuenta que no había dejado el espacio donde va la cremallera, vaya no puede ser, saltó la alarma roja, primer error, pero bueno dibujé sobre la tela y corté.
After you have zigzagged, stitch the front seam after the zipper, on the back side. Iron the seams.
Una vez que haya hecho el zigzag, cosa la costura delantera después de la cremallera, por el revés. Plancha las costuras.
Stitch at the sides and between the legs, then iron the seams.
Pespuntear los lados y entre las piernas y planchar las costuras.
I didn't want to miss this learning process to share it with you. Now I need to place the zipper and the waistband. This is really going to be a tremendous challenge for me, since it is something new. With the help of God and my teacher Maria I know I will succeed. I hope to finish this great project this week.
No quería perderme este proceso de aprendizaje para compartirlo con vosotros. Ahora me falta colocar la cremallera y la cinturilla. Esto realmente va a ser un tremendo reto para mi, ya que es algo nuevo. Con la ayuda de Dios y de mi maestra Maria se que lo voy a lograr. Espero terminar este gran proyecto esta semana.
