Happy New Day to all my beloved friends and the beautiful people of this community. It's barely been a week since I made my last blog here, but it seems like I have been away for so long. I had a lot on my hands to handle last week, and that kept me away from the community and blogging entirely. All of the duties are now reduced, and I can dedicate more time to going through all of your beautiful blogging projects.
For today I'm sharing with the community how I find it so hard and funny that I was forgetting some knowledge and aspects of sewing I learned a long time ago.
This isn't my first time of sewing a pant but while sewing this I realized just how easy it can be for us to forget the things things we do not practice consistently. It's been a really long while since I have sewn pants; I find it easier to see dresses, blouses, and skirts.
If I were giving a skirt to see today, I would be making little to no mistake in delivering the tasks, but for this pant, it felt like I was learning to sew all over again.
I brought out my pattern notebook and followed all the drafting I had drawn while learning how to sew, but still some basic important knowledge was lost, and that didn't make the pant look good enough.
Do you have these kind of note? They were the jottings I had scribbled a long time ago while I was learning how to sew. Been a very useful guide I had kept the book safe and often refer to it occasionally.
My sister's physique also wasn't helping matters; it could have been better if she were slim like me, making this pant like trying my best to do something I wasn't sure of while making sure that it fits a person's physique, which makes it a little challenging to follow her body shape and sew this.
Having seen a top for her recently when she came visiting, I had the remnant of the fabric, which will not be useful for me but looks really good to have her wear a complete outfit like this.

I had chosen this simple pant sewing methods as there are several ways we can cut pants and achieve thesame result.cut out the front block.
With so much fear of it becoming short, I added over excesses of the allowances.
Cut out the back piece while being mindful of the crotch.
Next I went further to sew all the pieces together.
Having done that, I also fixed in a band and the zipper at the back, and the pant was ready.
My sister kept complaining about how wide the pants are and that she would prefer them to be slimmer, but I can't go through the stress of redoing this and had to keep convincing her that having it this way wasn't bad too.
I was a little disappointed about how easily I forget things, as some fashion designers keep quality knowledge for years, and I'm not portraying a good quality of a fashion entrepreneur.
I have plans to redo this and practice more of pants making in the coming days. I only wish that if fabrics were as cheap as they were before, that would have been really easy. Fabrics are very expensive now, but still I have to practice more in order not to repeat these mistakes, as no customer will be willing to listen to this kind of flimsy excuse from a fashion designer, and these are the kinds of mistakes that will make us lose customers.

You did a good job on this outfit. Your sketches on that notebook is beautiful hehe. We all need reminder when sewing so we don't make silly mistake haha.
Wow, wow wow, this is so amazing dear, @monica it look so funny when it comes to trousers cutting, I had the same fear so as for me to put an excesses allowance in case of short of too tight, you did right, and I guess you started a sewing school that make you have this kind of note book😂😂😂 and you really good at drawing, well-done dear.

I remember when I started sewing earlier I would constantly add extra inches to the clothes based on the fears that "what if it won't fit"
