Hello Hive
I bet that we are all enjoying the holiday as activities on the blockchain have slowed down a bit since yesterday. Everyone must be happy to have their families and loved ones around, but if that is not the case for you yet, just keep hope alive, and there will be many more Christmases to celebrate with our families.
I have been more active on WhatsApp and Facebook replying to messages from families and friends. Sometimes I wish that Hive had a mini app like WhatsApp or Telegram in which all of our older people and younger ones could connect easily. WhatsApp has been actively used for conversation more easily. With all the developments going on here, on Leothread and others, hopefully we can have something like that for Hive.
Anyway, for all of my friends who have been able to make it here on the Hive blockchain, I'm happy to connect with you all. And would like to wish you a merry Christmas one more time.
The morning has been very quiet and less busy for myself and my family. Having been given some few hours away from the hospital to celebrate, we have been having consistent visitors coming to check on my brother's health. He has been booked for a brain scan and chest X-ray as part of the test needed to diagnose what is wrong with him. You may have noticed that I have withdrawn some 500 HIVE tokens earlier, which would be used to pay for these tests at the radiology laboratory.
Regardless of everything happening, life must go on. While Daddy attends to visitors, I had my other brother prepare us some light meals.
I was a bit idle and decided to keep myself busy with sewing. Actually, I'm used to working almost the whole day, and whenever there's nothing to do, I feel uneasy. Unless you find me sleeping and resting, I have gotten used to being this workaholic person.
I really wish that I could go for some outing at this time, just anywhere to while away time and enjoy some snacks with some friends, but that seems far away from me for now; hence, sewing has got the best of my time.
I made a lovely dress for Ana's, which I posted yesterday. Lucky for me, I had some fabric left from her dress.
And looking at the fabric, I knew that I wanted a skirt. I have been longing to have some skirts in my closet for now. They are needed for church activities, and it is often discouraged that females shouldn't wear trousers to church here.
The fabric can't make a dress or anything for me; hence, a skirt is my best feat for now.
I didn't want just a normal skirt, hence I thought of any special designs to add to my skirt.
Having cut the front block
Here is what I made of the back block, leaving in some allowance in between.
The allowances were used to create kick pleats for the skirt behind.
I love the effect this often has on behind one's outfit.
Then I proceeded to stitch in the seam lines.
Added a band to the waist and then a zipper.
The last dramatic part is what blouses I could use to match with my skirt.

You can see that I have some lineup of blouses all looking for a matching skirts.

Tomorrow will have us back and busy at the hospital, but for the time being, we are at home.
I would enjoy some sewing and tending to my garden in the evening. This is how my Christmas is going for the year; I hope y'all are having a great time.
