Hello Hive
The joy of bringing forth a new life is always overwhelming, but in between that comes a little sacrifice our mothers have to make in order to bear children.
Most times I pity those women who find it difficult to accept their new look/form and shape after birthing a child. It could be really bad for some and obvious that they can never wear the same kinds of outfits they used to wear before bearing children.
Such is the case with my sister, who just had a child. It is unfortunate that even after a caesarian section we still lost the baby. She was a pretty baby girl, and we only saw her once before she passed off. It was a challenging labor, and we are not consoled that the mother's life was spared.
Ever since then, my sister has been battling with her new form, and getting an outfit that looks smart and beautiful on her has become a challenge. She is yet to shed the weight gained during pregnancy; besides, not all the tummy weight will she be able to shed off.
She found a design she loved on the internet, and the last time after sewing it for her, it didn't look good enough based on her new looks.
I had to advise her that not every design on the internet will look good on her and that I can give her a few suggestions of simple and yet pretty outfits that I can make for her.
Wearing something that won't show your couture is what is necessary for now. She trusted me with her fabric, and I made her this beauty. Here comes a dress that will neither look odd nor simple.
I sewed in a bogus or trumpet sleeve in order for it not to look too simple.
Right after cutting the dress
I was lucky to have light for a few seconds, making it easier to sew with the electrical machine.
I stitched the seams and turned in the necklines before using a hemming gum to glue the inner facings to the clothes.
Then the sleeves and more stitching here and there, and our outfits are ready.
Choosing any good belt of even black color can give the dress some pretty design and shaping just the way you see it here.
Hopefully I can sew her some more clothes as she needs them because of her new size. All of her old clothes no longer fit her. I wonder if as many women face this many challenges with their bodies after childbirth.

It's genuinely not easy for women. If there's anything like superhumans in this world, women should take that tag. Fortunately, some women are able to return to their normal shape naturally or by putting in a bit of work. I encourage women not to think about their previous forms too much and embrace their new forms.
