Hello Hive Friends and the beautiful souls of our dearest creative needle community.
Isn't it a delightful thing to be here one more time relating with everyone and feeding our eyes with creative projects and beautiful things from right, left, and center?
More so, we feel excited to share our stories and inspiration with the community. When you make a big win with any of your goals and visions, you feel the butterflies in your belly. That is the kind of excitement I feel right now.
This year has come with such impressive goals and winnings on every side for me. It is barely a few days into the year, and such speed of growth I have experienced cannot be compared with what it used to be. I find it easier to make new clothes now, unlike before when I struggled with basically everything.
New ideas have continually been flowing through my mind, with fewer sewing mistakes and deeper understanding of the things I found very difficult to do before.
I'm always on selfie ๐คณ
Yesterday, Sunday, I wore one of the dresses I had earlier made for myself to church, and the compliments I have received from admirers were a confirmation of this. I am so delighted that more people appreciate my skills; I make better outfits now, which is part of the goals for the year.
I am here to share with the community another of the inspirational bangers I have caught recently, and yes, I know perfectly well that some of you are in my category of not knowing what to wear oftentimes, and mostly we equally get that there is an outing. Your wardrobe is filled with boring round-neck and V-neck-shaped outfits, right?
We can change the narrative; you don't have to stick with the same boring clothes anymore. I will be delivering some designs that will be lovely and perfect for various kinds of outings. Your wardrobe doesn't have to be boring anymore. A creative manipulation of your clothes, from the necklines to the waistline, including the sleeves, can make a whole lot of difference, and each and every new day there will be something attractive to wear.
Since I had some black fabric left over from my previous work,
I sorted through pieces of this sequined lace and got to work on my new project. Now I made a special neck design for a dress.
While trying to do this, I didn't have a brown paper at home but decided to try my luck on a lining first. My little advice is that you always try out new designs on a piece of pattern paper, and any mistake can be adjusted there. When this is perfected, you can then transfer it to your fabric and cut.
But since a paper wasn't available, I decided to work on this on the lining first; lining is cheaper; moreover, my fabric cannot be repaired if I damaged it.
Having cut that back bodice of the dress without any challenge
I kept trying out a new neck design with various measurements trying to achieve this. Unfortunately for me, and just like I have predicted, I make mistakes twice; my scissors were always quick to cut, and I would suddenly realize a mistake after cutting it out.
I repeated this mistake twice, but only one of the lining, which can be kept and used for something else later
Finally, I got the perfect neckline design I wanted. I then use the lining to cut my sequence lace for the front bodice. You can choose to embellish this to add more elegance to your clothes. Next I moved and turned this in carefully. Sewed the zipper to the back block and joined the outfit.
The lower part been a simple gathers.
This was done, and you can see two notable things that made this dress attractive and not boring. The touch of sequined lace And the neckline design.
Sequence lace is expensive, but sometimes you can purchase very little of these materials and add just a touch of it to your clothes, and rather than sewing boring clothes, you will have some lovely and attractive outfits.
The sleeve design will come in later and will be a bit unique too; I couldn't complete the project in one sitting as there was much to do there was so power supply so I got stuck with paddling the manual machine. Hopefully before the next 24 hours are over, you will get to see this CEO in a new, beautiful, and elegant dress. Wait for it
