Hello Hive
Happy New week to our beloved friends of the community. Mondays often feels like a get together time as everyone makes it a point of duty to drop by and see what beauty could meet their eyes.
The community is already looking so colorful with all the Christmas projects already troping in. I'm delighted to see your creative projects every new week
For today I found myself cracking my brain on what finishing touches or embellishment I can add to an already beautiful outfits.
Have you ever made a project that didn't find an acceptance with it's owner. Well this is my very first experience where someone feels like what I have designed for them is not good enough.
Maybe someone from the community understands how it feels when you do your best to sew an outfit for a friend or a customer and they don't find it good enough. Negative compliments often kills ones morals but instead of seeing it from the negative point of view we have to wave off how we feel and take that as a challenge to improve and do better.
I have made this lovely blouse for my friend about two weeks ago and while I was head over heels about how beautiful the blouse was, my friend still didn't feel satisfied with the outcome.
I even got some compliments from members of the community about how much that have loved the blouse but my friend here entered my DM to complain about how her bloused looked too simple and that I should attach some more embellishment or embroidery. Everyone's taste of fashion is different and she must probably be having some high sense of fashion.
I consider the blouse to be simple and lovely enough but she wants more
I then beckoned on @bimpcy in her DM to as her opinion of the blouse and of any creative design I could add to this.
We search the internet and found some inspiration, having done that I searched out every pieces of the fabric left and started working.
The pieces were really tiny bits that should be disposed but her desire to add more to the dress got me working with these tiny bits, cutting and sewing until I was able to get a ruffle.
Initially i found an artificial embroidery and attached it to the blouse hoping that it will fit it, but I kept feeling how odd this looks on it.
Having cut the fabrics pieces and join them to make a whole, I took my zig-zav scissors to sharpen the edges
Before pulling a clean ruffle with my sewing machine.
Here are both the ready made embroidery qnd the ruffle on the dress,
I hope that she will finally accept her blouse after the much stress put into making it. Rather continue to feel bad about her unacceptance of the outfits I used this as an opportunity to learn more and broaden my creativity.
I had wanted to sew a bigger ruffle based on the inspiration we found in the internet but there was not enough fabric fo do that.
I think it's a good thing to learn and improve on ourselves rather than feel bad about certain criticism of our work, besides we are just humans of which some can be insatiable, learn this and know peace ✌️🕊️😂😁

Your work is extraordinary and very beautiful, but you have to see it from the point of view of different tastes, what for us is nice for others is missing, if I were the owner of the blouse I would have preferred it without the decorative appliqués, I see it so cute just with the design it has, with that zipper that is enough to look elegant and well dressed.
💗💞
