Hello hive.
Happy and blessed New week and happy Needleworkmonday to you all, how are you all doing and how was your weekend? I hope everything went well with you all, I'm so excited to be here with you all today and I will be sharing with you all on the steps I carried in making this beautiful Christmas dress for my little princess.
It's the season that every children needs to be happy and celebrating, because a lot of parent took it as a tradition that they have to buy new clothes and shoes for their children or if they dont buy from the market the buy a new material or ankara fabric just to make sure they sew for their children and due to this moment that a lot of tailors and seamstress need to be running up and down just to certisfy their customers and make them happy, it is so difficult for them to make their own cloth nor to talk of their children, some of them will cry looking for the Christmas cloth, one of my customer came with her daughter and her daughter was crying because her mother didn't gave her Christmas clothes, i felt so bad asking myself, is this how my princess will he crying, how can i be a seamstress and i didn't sew a Christmas clothes for her?
After sewing for my customer i creat a day only to sew my daughter's clothes because people started complaining about it, some of them asked me why i find it so difficult to sew for my daughter, well, i felt so badly inside of me so immediately i finished sewing my customer daughters own so i brought of the remaining fabric that sew recently for myself, so i went through YouTube searching for children's cloth style, then i came across this beautiful style and i like it so i decided to sew for her.
So quickly brought out the remaining fabric with the satin material to combine, i folded the satin material by two, i first of all started with the front side then i measured the half length, i took out the shoulder measurements divided by two, then the body measurements divided by four, i now took out her hamhold length and the neck width and length then i cut it out.
Now the secon thing i did was, i folded the material again then i placed the front side on it then i measured out 1.5 inch for zipper allowance, i took 1.5 for the neck length then i cut the back sise out.
I now went and turned then with lining then i put the back zip side and held the two side dart.
After that i cut out the down part both front and back.
I then i folded the fabric and cut out 5 inches in 5 places and i went on bending the hem.
After bending all of them i placed one of the pieces on the down part of the dress and gave a pleating to it step by step on the both two side
I then shift a gathers on the waist joining part.
After that i joined the both half part and the down part together.
I then moved on joining the body together.
And i cut out 1inch of the fabric and pipe the handhold side then cut out 5 inches then fold it and sew for the roop, i placed it on the middle of the front side and sew in down then after everything i iron it out.
So here is the outcome of it.
Woohoo 🤭🤭 the beauty of the dress catches a lot of people's eyes, and they love the combination, i hope you likes it and I'm proud to be a seamstress, be proud of what you can do.
