It was a very shocked thought of me decided to make a long bubu dress for myself, even when I told my friend about it she didn't believe me because everyone knows I don't like wearing long gown, the only attractive thing that attracted me is that each time I see people wearing it , it look as if I hate it that much, well maybe it because of my pregnancy that makes me come to like it, my Aunty surprises me with this vintage material.

Omg.......the material looks so beautiful and so stratch, she told me to make something lone for myself and I told her I don't like wearing long but short so she said I should give a try maybe I will like it, so I decide to make it long and attach elastic thread on the waist line and make the half length style to be a shirt, it was a great style by me, but I was thinking on how it will look on me because I don't use to wear it before and I didn't want to warst the material, so since I don't have much days because I wanted to use it on last Sunday so I started making the dress on Saturday morning and I have to hurry up so I will be able to put the ready made fastener in time.

The bubu dress style was so simple to make but the problem I had on Saturday was that my phone run low and I had to charge before I use I would have snapped the cutting steps, so I folded the material by two, I firstly took my half length measurements starting with the back bubu shirt, I took my half shoulder measurements and I added 2 inches for sewing and bending, then I took 1.5 length and 1.5 width for the neck because I didn't want the neck to be so wider, then I added 5 inches for the elast garthers after cutting out the back I folded the material again by two and I placed the back on it and I added 1.5 for the front buttins bending and extend the front neck length for the collar so I cut it out, and I went on cutting the down full length, after finished cutting the half length I folded the material again by two and I took the full length then used the exactly half length body measurements and cut the down part, then I went ahead with the sewing process, I firstly bend the two side front buttins part and i joined the front on the down part carefully because I didn't want to open the down part, I also joined the back side too, after joining i used the elastic thread and make a shifting thread garthers on the waist part.

I repeat the same at the back side then I cut out the neck collar and fixed properly, I also cut out 3.5 inches of the material and bend the hem sleeves.

After joining the body together I went and fixed in the reading made fastener and weave all the inner and the down hem.

So here is the outcome of it.

It was beautiful, i was thinking on how it will look on me but i realize that it really look nice on me, i was so excited for not disappointing myself because it was an urgent work, i didn't expect of wearing a new dress last Sunday, a lot of people like the dress and i hope you all like it too.
