Needlework Monday: The Morrigan, my second God Doll :)

Morrigan 9.jpg

Greetings, needleworkers! Today I get to share that I finished my second God doll, this time of the Morrigan! :)

So I made her blue sweater (which is longer in the back than the front) on a small loom knitter, and her white socks (which are under her shoes, lol) on a smaller loom knitter. I knit her cape, which also flips over into a hood, on a pair of dpns using them like straight needles.

Embroidered her face of course, and sewed in each individual strand of hair like I did for Nuada. I should count their hairs, lol. There are a lot and they're not big dolls! Hers is arranged into three braids:

I hand stitched her skirt and her shoes, and made her a bracelet out of copper wire and gemstones. The feather that is on her cape I used to wear as a necklace, and is carved out of bone:

Here she is hanging out with Nuada, the first God doll I made (she's not shorter, the blanket is just floofed up more under his feet. They're the same size):

So there she is! I worked on her a lot more slowly than I did Nuada, so I've actually been working on her for quite some time, much longer than a week. But I really like how she turned out. :)

See you around the stitch n' bitch circle! ;)

I love that you have such a distinct style with your dolls, I can clearly see that they belong together (artistically) but as always with such tiny knitted things, I am unable to imagine how someone could do this without turning berserk.
Obviously you managed somehow, not only one time but twice :-D I love the details for your Morrigan, the necklace and the hood are my favorite.
Do you like Kevin Hearne? I hope I did not asked before and forgot... If yes, did you read his new serial 'ink and sigil'?

I keep getting told I need to read his books. A friend bought me the first Iron Druid one but I haven't read it yet. It's in my "to read" pile, lol.
