Hello friends and everyone @needleworkmonday community an always glad to be here especially the joy of meeting up every Monday,,it's always inspiring and most times challenging.
Above all I love the motivations from works posted on this platform ,I have learnt alot and am happy sharing mine here.
Today I am here to share the dress I made from my remaining fabric
Having a toddler has be been beautiful, most of my remaining fabrics are not a waste
I can still use them to sew something beautiful for my baby.
And I must say,I enjoy the process.
Initially I wanted to make a top and a short for my baby girl, I had thought that the material will be enough
So I cut out the top first, actually it was meant to be a long top and a short
But after cutting out the top I realised that the remaining fabric will not be enough for her short
So I decided to change the style to a baby girl's dress.
I
The materials i used were
- Scissors
- Thread
- Measuring tape
- Vintage fabric
Below is the design for the hand
I had used elastic to make it abit puffy.
At this since the fabric wasn't enough for the short i changed the style by adding gathers to the length of the dress
I changed it from a long top to a baby girl dress.
And finally my daughter's dress was ready
I tried taking a nice picture but she kept walking and it was difficult to snap, but i tried.
Such a cute and happy kid. It's pleasing that all the tiny pieces of fabrics will go into profitable use here. My regards to your cute baby and thanks for sharing. I can relate with this special feelings we get making children's clothes.
