Crochet Baby Hats for my nieces

in NeedleWorkMonday2 years ago

I have shared with you about my crochet bow hat before. This time I’m going to share about the baby's hats I have crocheted.

My sister and my cousin sister both have two little girls near the same age. As their aunt, I wanted to crochet the two beautiful hats which looks alike. Even if I choose the same colors, later I decided not to crochet them in the same design since it may become a problem if they couldn’t identify each other’s hats.

As always, pink is for girls. In pink girls look more like princess. Usually, when I crochet for babies, I use cotton wool instead of acrylic wool. Acrylic can be too rough for their baby skin. But the cotton is very comfortable for them.

I didn’t use any patterns since I can create a pattern as I go with crocheting. But I have referred some videos just to decide on a design for the hats.

Since those hats are tiny little ones. They didn’t take much time to complete. Both our little girls look beautiful in those hats.

Since it is vey easy one to do, I will explain it simply for your reference.

I have started it with a magic ring and continued the circle using double crochet stitches. When I reach the necessary width for the baby’s head, then I continued crocheting double crochet in each stitch for few rounds to reach the height I wanted.

Then I have increased three stitches per row for few rows and stopped my work. Not the exact stop. To complete it, I did a border of my choice. Then the bow/ flower is added to decorate it.

Thank you for reading❤.

Qué lindo te ha quedado. Debes ser una experta para mo seguir un patrón.

Aunque si supieras que cuando hice los primeros gorros para mi hija mayor lo hice sin patrón y me quedo así parecido al tuyo. Que recuerdos me ha traído.

Great to hear that you are also making your own patterns. Thanks for encouraging friend.
