This is my first post in this community. I am Rasi and I’m from Sri Lanka. I like to do crocheting so much. Specially amigurumi. And I know about sewing into some extent. Not much. I have also tried some hand embroidery before.
I hope I will be able to read many interesting posts in this community. Mean while I will be sharing about my needle work with you also.
Today I am telling about my “Little Turtle” amigurumi. Before that I will tell how I became interested in crochet.
When I was young, I saw my aunt do beautiful crochet work. I wanted to be like her. Last year I saw a notice saying that there is a new crochet class. I thought it will be a good chance for me to be like my aunt. In the introduction day, our instructor showed us toys crocheted by her. I was amazed. I decided, I will learn this for sure.
Now I crochet when I have some free time. It gives me so much pleasure to see little toys.
Little turtle is an outcome of getting rid of my boredom. I saw a turtle crochet before in a group and made my own pattern .
This turtle is not a big one, it is just 7.5cm width and 8.5cm length one. But it is very cute.
First one was the turtle boy. But I thought he might feel lonely, that’s why I gave him a girl later.
If you are interested about my pattern you can visit it here.
Thank you for reading❤.
Hello, it is a pleasure for me to welcome you to this beautiful community of Needle artists, here you will find talented and kind people to share your projects with and learn from each other. There are many people who are passionate about crochet, including myself. Our goal is to share our creative process and tell a little bit of the story behind each project. We would love for you to consider sharing the step-by-step of your creative process as you tell us your motivation for creating.
The turtles are really beautiful and very cute, congratulations. Here are some community guidelines for you to read. Thanks for sharing in our community, greetings and blessings.
Every week needleworkers from around the globe get together to share our work, patterns, tips, ideas and shortcuts as we support one another. Our goal is to inspire the Hive blockchain to give crafting a try.
On Monday’s we use the #needleworkmonday tag and on all other days we use the #needlework tag without the word Monday attached. We share and post our work directly from the Community page.
We encourage our members to share about their needlework life with us. We love hearing stories and what types of things inspired your projects. We challenge you to put some feeling and emotion into your publications and help us get to know the needler behind the fabric.
Feel free to share photos of your work but it’s optional if you choose to share the steps with us. If you just want to needle and share about that time we’d love to hear about it. 😊
For more information about what we do and for our posting guidelines please visit our FAQs.
