The little Giraffe Baby

in NeedleWorkMonday2 years ago

Hi guys,

I am sharing about a little giraffe project I did. Without a long neck. A baby giraffe before they grow their neck longer 🙊😁.

Since this was created by my own pattern, as I have always told I love doing my own patterns. So I had to draw a sketch the purpose of crochet his and bring him to life… life means into a beautiful crochet toy.

After I draw it, I have once again changes the shape of the head just I didn’t feel the first shape is the correct one for him.. Even after that I had to wait a bit to buy the yarn colors I wanted for this toy. That is why I decided to go to Colombo and find a better place I can buy the yarn from the brand I wanted.

Then I started crocheting from the head. Steps are simple. We have to use the knowledge we gained through our class and crochet and keep it on top of the drawing. If it matches, write it in the book, if not, untie the stiches, change the pattern, crochet again. This is repeated.

After crocheting few lines I suddenly remembered, we do not start creating patterns from head 😅. So I stopped it and again started from the legs.

It took few days to complete because I had to only use my extra time for it. After crocheting body parts separately. Then I had to sew them together after filling polyfill. Even when filling the polyfill we need to be careful, otherwise shape changes. This happened to little giraffe's head. Then I made it correct again.

Since I didn’t had plastic eyes in a suitable size, I sew them. But need to make them differently next time if I make a giraffe again.

Here he is. Lovely little boy❤️.

I liked this nice baby giraffe😍. Your post is very interesting, it's the first time I read about the process of creating an amigurumi pattern. Thanks for sharing it with us🌸

It is very interesting to do our own patterns

That amigurumi was very cute, very tender.

Thank you so much

Amazing to be able to do all of that without a pattern!
