Hello beautiful friends here @needleworkmonday is another wonderful week, do have a favourable week ahead. It has been a while but I am back , I had some project that took my time but thanks to God for the grace to finish strong and so I am back to as well contribute my quota towards the development of this community
And so my daughter asked me to make for her an Ankara hair clip,so I decided to pick one of the remain of my fabric to make for her the above hair clip.
Materials used
Ankara fabric
Needle and thread
A circular pattern to draw the circle
Scissors
Chalk to mark out the circular pattern
Feathers for designs
A fancy pearl for designs as well
The clip pin
Candle gum
Glue gun or matches
Iron
Procedures
- Step one: use the circular pattern to draw out six circular shapes from the ankara
- Step 2: use scissors to cut out the circular pattern already drawn
- Step 3: After cutting out the circular pattern ,you iron it one after the other by folding into two different shapes
- Step 4: Repeat the process for the six cut out circular pattern to arrive at a particular pattern
- Step 5: double your thread in a needle
- Step 6: begin the sewing of the folded material one after the other
- Step 7 : After sewing the six circular pattern together at the end tie the thread firmly to achieve togetherness of the fabric and cut off the excess thread
- Step 8: finish the sown hair clip by attaching the necessary material
*Step 9 : melt the candle gum with matches or use a glue gun to attach your assessories to the already down Ankara fabric
And finally the finished work
