Crocheted square tablecloth

Five years ago I decided to start my first crochet square blanket. I was so excited about this project, but I ended up taking longer than I would have liked and the blanket took 9 months to complete.

Some threads were left over and I decided to use them for other projects. These squares had been together for some time and my initial plan was to make a cushion cover. But these days I looked at them like this, colorful and pretty, and thought I didn't need another cushion. I could simply use them as a small tablecloth on some furniture.

I love the memories that crocheted tablecloth bring back from my childhood. My mother always had lots of them scattered around our house and I used to love taking them apart to play. Sometimes the tablecloths were dresses for my Barbies, sometimes they acted as rugs in the makeshift houses I created for the same dolls.

I simply loved the effect these colors had on my decor and I'm already looking forward to weaving some more. And I also hope this simple project inspires you to color your home too.

Good decision to use it to decorate, the colors are so bright and striking and it makes a perfect match with the environment where it was placed. I like it because the union between each granny looks impeccable.

How wonderful it is that knitting has taken you to a wonderful time like childhood.

Thanks for sharing.

Greetings.

Crochet for me is a weaver of memories. The colors really are beautiful. I'm glad you liked it.

Hi @ , your post brings back fond memories of my grandmother Carmen and my cousin Virginia, who were spider weavers , they made any number of things to beautify the home as well as for us who were just kids back then.

I'm so happy to have awakened good memories in you. That's powerful!
