This is my WIP project. My first amigurumi (ESP/ENG)

Hi #needleworkmonday friends today I join the new community challenge to show you that project that has long been in storage waiting for me to remember it 😂 and the truth I remembered it just to take the pictures.

Hola amigos de #needleworkmonday hoy me uno al nuevo reto de la comunidad para mostrarles ese proyecto que tiene mucho tiempo guardado esperando que me acuerde de el 😂 y la verdad me acordé de el solo para tomarle las fotos.

In January of this year I got covid-19 for the second time, unlike my first infection this time the disease was much milder and I was practically symptom free but I had to isolate myself since my boyfriend was not positive and I did not want to infect him.

En enero de este año me contagie de covid-19 por segunda vez, a diferencia de mi primer contagio está vez la enfermedad fue mucho más leve y prácticamente estaba sin síntomas pero tuve aislarme ya que mi novio no estaba positivo y no quería contagiarlo.

The good thing about this variant that I contracted is that in addition to being very mild and that the isolation time is much shorter, so I was only less than a week, but although it was a short time I was pretty bored at that time, so I looked for some threads and started looking for tutorials on the internet to make easy amigurumis.

Lo bueno de esta variante que contraje es que además de ser muy leve e que el tiempo de aislamiento es mucho más corto, por lo que solo lo estuve menos de una semana, pero aunque fue poco tiempo estaba bastante aburrida en aquel momento, así que busque unos hilos y comencé a buscar tutoriales en internet para hacer amigurumis fáciles.

Searching the internet for something easy to start with, I came across this pattern for wool and yarn balls.

Buscando en internet algo fácil para comenzar, me encontré con este patrón de lanas y ovillos.

To start knitting, the first thing I did was to take several strands of the yarn I had available to make it a little thicker, since it was very thin and it was not going to be the right size.

Para comenzar a tejer, lo primero que hice fue tomar varias hebras del hilo que tenía a disposición para hacerlo un poco más grueso, ya que este era sumamente delgado y no me iba a quedar del tamaño adecuado.

Following further instructions in the pattern, I started by making the magic ring and then began to perform the sequence of stitches indicated.

Siguiendo más instrucciones del patrón, comencé haciendo el anillo mágico y luego comencé a realizar la secuencia de puntadas que indicaban.

The first thing I did was the body, being bigger it seemed much easier to start with it, however, as I was closing the body it became a little more complicated to knit it. I left the body open so I could introduce the stuffing later.

Lo primero que hice fue el cuerpo, al ser más grande me pareció mucho más fácil iniciar con el, sin embargo, a medida que fui cerrando el cuerpo se me fue haciendo un poco más complicado tejerlo. Deje el cuerpo abierto para poder introducir el relleno luego.

Then, I made the head, which, like the body, was quite easy because it was a larger piece. As with the other pieces, I didn't close it to insert the stuffing, because at that time I didn't have it available, nor do I have it hahaha.

Luego, hice la cabeza, que al igual que el cuerpo se me hizo bastante fácil por ser una pieza más grande. Al igual que con las otras piezas, no la cerré para luego introducir el relleno, ya que en ese momento no lo tenía a disposición, ni lo tengo jajaja.

When I finished knitting the larger pieces, I started knitting the arms of my sleepy amigurumi. If at this moment it seemed difficult to knit when I reduced some stitches of the body and head, I did not know that it was easy compared to the little arms of the doll.

Cuando termine de tejer las piezas más grandes, comencé a tejer los brazos de mi amigurumi dormilón. Si en este momento me parecía difícil tejer cuando reduje algunos puntos del cuerpo y de la cabeza, no sabía que era fácil en comparación con los bracitos del muñeco.

In spite of how complicated it seemed to knit the amigurumi, I must confess that in less than two hours I had already knitted it and the only thing missing was the stuffing, but I didn't have it and I couldn't buy it because I was in isolation.

A pesar de lo complicado que parecía tejer el amigurumi, debo confesar que en menos de dos horas ya lo había tejido y solo faltaba el relleno, pero no lo tenía ni podía comprarlo por estar en aislamiento.

My entertainment plan for my days of isolation ended sooner than I had thought, as I thought it would take me much longer to get the amigurumi pieces to fit, and I had no choice but to save it until I could go out and buy my doll stuffing.

Mi plan de entretenimiento para mis días de aislamiento termino antes de lo que había pensado, ya que creía que me tomaría mucho más tiempo que las piezas del amigurumi me quedarán bien, y no me quedo de otra que guardarlo hasta poder salir a comprar mi relleno de muñecos.

The truth is that when I went back to the routine I forgot to find out about the doll stuffing, and without realizing it, several months passed, until last week there was a covid alert in my office and we had to get tested to know if we were infected or not, and while I was waiting for my turn to take the test I remembered my isolation days in January and the project I had started.

La verdad es que cuando volvi a la rutina olvide averiguar por el relleno de muñecos, y sin darme cuenta pasaron varios meses, hasta que la semana pasada hubo alerta de covid en mi oficina y nos tocó hacernos pruebas para saber si estábamos contagiados o no, y mientras esperaba mi turno para hacerme el examen recordé mis días de aislamiento de enero y el proyecto que había iniciado.

Thank God I didn't have covid and I was able to continue my life without another forced isolation hahaha but with the purpose of resuming my amigurumi sleepyhead project.

Gracias a Dios no tenía covid y pude continuar mi vida sin otro aislamiento forzado jajaja pero con el propósito de retomar mi proyecto del amigurumi dormilón.

With this post I make a commitment to finish the project and show you the finished version of it. In the meantime, if you are an amigurumi expert or have knitted some before I would love to hear your advice on what to do and what not to do in the process.
