Blouse alteration idea

Hello everybody!!!
Yesterday I was wrong: I thought it was Monday and it was Sunday. The fact is that in Israel the week starts on Sunday. People rest on Friday and Saturday and go to work on Sunday. Therefore, I often confuse Sunday and Monday. I decided to participate today too!

I have a blouse that I don’t remember for how many years. I tried to remember this and thought that for more than 15 years for sure. The fabric of the blouse is not killed))) So much time has passed, and the blouse is in perfect order. I looked at the composition of the fabric: it turned out to be 88% roliester and 12% spandex. I loved the blouse but didn't wear it often before.

These are photographs from 15 years ago, where I was wearing this blouse and walking with the doggy of our friends.

This blouse had a small cut on the chest from the neckline.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic and the shift to telecommuting, I've started to rethink my wardrobe. I found this blouse and thought that in recent years I have worn it extremely rarely, although I still like it. What is the reason? - I asked myself a question and realized that in Israel most of the year it is too hot for this blouse. I began to think what I can do to wear it more often and came up with the idea of turning this blouse into a sweater. That is, cut it down the middle in the front.

To make the cut look beautiful, I found a beautiful, delicate lace in my stock and sewed it on.

That's what I did!

You know, my dears, I was not at all afraid to cut my blouse! I am so glad that I have advanced in some of the techniques altering clothes and feel at ease.

White lace harmonizes beautifully with the embroidery of the blouse. Several years ago, I added milk-colored beads to my embroidery. All together it looks very gentle.

Now I have a very practical thing that I can throw on my shoulders in the evening instead of a shawl, for example. This gives me the opportunity to wear my ex-blouse much more often. I'm glad that this idea came to my mind. It looks very fancy!

You are so brave to cut into your blouse. But your braveness paid out as I like the new cardigan you made a lot. I can imagine that the open front is much more practical in hot weather. Now you can layer it with a tank top or in the evening over a dress. Very clever modification.
I love the photo you with the huge wisteria in the background <3

Здорово, очень красиво)

по крайней мере я могу это носить теперь 😀

yes, even now the temperature is above +30 degrees Celsius
