Good Monday to all our creative community!!! I hope this week has been productive for you and that you are doing well!
I really like to give new life to old things if they are made of good quality fabric. This time it was my old flannel pajamas. I don't even know how many years I had it. But the time came to decide what to do with it and I felt sorry to throw it away. The fabric of this pajama has not lost its color after many washes and remains amazingly pleasant to the touch.
This is what my pajamas turned into. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo before I cut it up into individual pieces. I got the idea to sew a pillowcase for my big sofa cushion for the winter. In fact, this is a very simple project, but I did not start to implement it for quite a long time. And the reason was that I was scared that I had to somehow put all these pieces together to make a pillowcase. Well, yes, it would seem that there is nothing complicated here, but for me it was a real stumbling block and the fabric continued to lie aside. Until I came up with a brilliant idea: My husband just loves these kinds of puzzles and he, on the contrary, finds it interesting to solve them.
So I just gave him a pillowcase and asked him to fold pieces of fabric from my former pajamas so that he got the same pillowcase.
I still wonder why this idea didn't occur to me earlier. My husband coped with this task quite quickly.
Now I had a blank for two pillowcase panels: front and back.
I also had a black zipper for a pillowcase in my supplies.
Now my work went faster: I gathered the pieces together with pins and then sewed them on the sewing machine. My husband helped me cut off the excess fabric so that the canvas was even. All that was left was to sew both panels together.
Next it was time to sew on the zipper. Here I was too lazy to sew it with a needle and thread first and used pins. And of course it wasn't very good.
But overall the pillowcase turned out really cool!
This is the back panel of the pillowcase - former pajamas
And this is the front!
I am very pleased with my pillowcase and consider this project successful overall. The lesson I learned from it: if something is difficult to start or continue doing, then it is good to ask for help from your family and friends. And then the matter will move forward and eventually you will complete your long-standing project.

Take care of yourself and be healthy!!!
This is a great transformation
And it's really lovely
There's a popular saying in my place that is, two heads are better than one... That's exactly what I got from this post 🤗
The final result is pretty good. It looks beautiful. Good to see each step of making this. Thank you for sharing it.
