It is suprising to me how quickly Monday comes around. My goal to post every Monday to #NeedleWorkMonday will surely keep me on my toes. It is especially difficult while trying to prepare for Christmas and family birthdays during the last week of December and first week of January.
Nevertheless, I did manage to get some work done and am making progress on my plan to restart my little venture.
Two sets of towels off the loom. They have been through a wash and are now needing to be pressed, cut apart, hemmed and rewashed. There are four towels in each colorway.
This is a clasped weft I tried on a rigid heddle loom. It came out okay, but is quite fiddly to work and I am not fond of doing it lol. It is also destined to become a tea towel although the sett is a bit looser than the previous ones. Actually the sett of this cloth would make a nice summer top and I think I will plan some yardage with that goal in mind, not using that pattern though.
This is a hat that came off the needles and was knit with my hand dyed merino/cashmere/nylon sock yarn. I used a paid for pattern by Ysolda Teague called the Musselburgh Hat. The hat is a large adult size modeled on my small female head form. It can be worn as a slouchy beanie or with a folded up brim.
Some dyed falkland wool and a few sock skeins that came out of the pots this week.
Last but not least is one lonely skein of handspun yarn.

This week will be busy with Christmas prep but finishing those towels is an absolute!
It would be lovely to go weaving right now but instead I have to bake cookies...grrrr!
Baking cookies doesn't sound so bad!! I totally love the colours on these yarns!!
Thank you!
hehe..you're right! Am supposed to be watcgubg nt weight but guess I have to take one for the team lol. Don't think there will be any weight losing going on before the first of the year anyway. It's chocolate chip and peanut butter blossoms today...at least that's the plan :D
Its the wrong season for the weight watching! Hehe, it will be a good time from the start of the new year. Like it is fated to be :OD
I'm so thankful for seasons!! Who are we to argue with the fates?? 😂
Exactly!! Seasons have to be good for something after all!!
And it feels good right up till January... 😱😱
