Hi guys! Today my post is about my handy crafts and what I have been learning how to do recently! Starting off strong with crochet!
I Learned how to crochet around two years ago and I became obsessed with it for around three months or so then stoped… UNTIL NOW!!!!! Around 2 months ago in Corfu I started wanting to crochet again out of nowhere, so we bought some yarn and a hook! The first thing I made after getting the yarn was a little stuffed octopus!
after that I realized I wanted to make more things so we went back to the yarn shop and bought some more yarn! As we where about to pay my dad walks up to us with a yarn and says “if we are going to be in cold places we may as well get the best off of your knitting” I told him it wasn’t knitting it was crochet but agreed to make him and ear warmer!
after making one I made another
and another
each one was getting better and better so I wanted to make more but knew I needed to make other things. So I made a hat!! Which we lost… since I have only been doing it for around 2 months that’s all I have made. SO FAR, you see as you read this I am making a sweater! (or trying at least)
since I am not that experienced I don’t expect it to turn out great but I hope it comes out decent! So if you remember the beginning of my post I said that I would be telling you about my handy crafts PLURAL! So drum roll pleaseeeee 🥁🥁🥁I went to aaaaa MACRAME class with my mum and I really enjoyed it! So am making a phone case to carry my phone!
I also made a pair of earrings!
and you might be thinking that’s all right? WRONG I am also attempting to learn to knit! (To no prevail) but hey at least I’m trying 🙃 well you must be thinking that’s all right? Well you’re right… but I hope to learn more and share my experiences with you guys even more!
This is a little thing I decided to add since it’s been bothering me, and although my parents( well one of them) apologized I will say it’s not their fault but STILL!! Basically what happened was ☁️ I was walking along the road with my parents in Ioanninon (I think that’s how you spell it) and saw and amazing yarn shop with amazing thick yarn for 1 euro!! So I asked them if I could get it and they said no because as my dad puts it ( morroco is known for their handy things like fabric and YARN) well once we got here guess what we couldn’t find? Yes you got it right YARN so now my mum is apologizing and saying we can get yarn online which if you didn’t know DAD is more expensive than that amazing 1 euro yarn… but still I get to make my dream yarn list on Amazon so I am not that upset about it… well that’s all for today I can’t wait to show you guys if my sweater is a fail or not! Bye guysss!
How nice that you have taken up crochet again. In my case, it was many years before I took it up again, and after two years of non-stop knitting, I just can't stop. The point is not to stagnate, there are always new things to learn with crochet and that helps you stay motivated.
It was nice to read you.
Yea I’m glad I got back into it! And I hope to get better at knitting to!
I find crocheting is much quicker and easier than knitting, plus you can crochet lots of cute things. Your octopus is really good considering it the first thing you made. Have fun!
Yea I struggled with knitting a lot but u got crochet immediately, I also heard crochet used like double the yarn that knitting so I would like to learn for some things but I agree that crochet is easier!❤️
