Hola hola mis estimados costureros ❤️ espero se encuentren muy bien, hoy nos leemos nuevamente; es que he estado un poco perdida y habia abandonado mis proyectos de costura... 🧵 La última vez que estuve por aqui les mostre un proyecto que inicie y fue la elaboración de una Cartera de Jeans que en mi caso fue con un pantalón de pana viejo, no les he mostrado como quedo porque aún no lo termino, paralice la cartera por un momento; para enfocarme en otras cosas del hogar..
Hoy me tomé un rato de la tarde para sentarme en mi máquina de coser y hacer un mini proyecto para mi, sacar una falda larga de un vestido viejo... Yo hice como el programa de tv tu basura, mi tesoro este vestido era una ropa super vieja que mi hermana tenía en su casa lista para donar y yo revisando por no dejar lo encontré y pensé de inmediato en hacerme una linda falda y es que esto era como para mi, porque yo amo los estampados sean flores, rayas, cuadros..
Hacer esta falda fue súper sencillo, porque tenia la idea clara en mi mente, adicional que tenia ya un modeló de una falda que mi mama me hizo hace años, lo unico que me estaba faltando era elástica y de inmediato se me ocurrio sacarle la elastica a un pantalón que estaba roto, con todos mis materiales listos me puse manos a la obra.
Lo primero que hice fue lavar el vestido porque tenía unas manchas amarillas, luego que estuvo seco lo estire, medi y cuadre con ayuda de la otra falda...
Corte el vestido, dejando 10 cm para el dobles que debía hacerle la cintura, ya que queria que me quedará de 4cm de ancho pata que pudiera entrar la elástica.
Con la falda codtada ya lo que quedaba era coser, hice mi dobladillo del ancho que necesitaba, utilizando un hilo blanco ya que las costuras del vestido eran blancas asi que le pareció lo adecuado... Esto fue una costura recta, siempre igual al final no cerré el dobladillo, sino que deje un espacio para poder meter la elástica...
Mi costura estaba lista, me faltaba la elástica, asi que me toco despegarla del pantalón y asi lo hice , con ayudas de tojeras y un descosedor.
Con mi elástica en mano y ayuda de un gancho de pelo (truco de la abuela) pase la elástica, cosi y cerre el dobladillo de la falda a máquina...
Y asi quedo lista mi falda, para mi un proyecto hermoso y moderno, ademas que le di nueva vida a ese vestido olvidado...
Me sentí muy realizada al poder lograr esto yo solita, sinceramente los cortes fueron a ojo, pero siempre guiandome por el modelo que tenia aqui...
Les cuento que pique otro vestido, pero este es negro con blanco, aun tengo pendiente coserlo, pero este fin de semana quedara listo..
Ya no puedo esperar para usar mi nueva falda, me tomare muchas fotos cuando lo haga para mostrarles... Anímense amigos amantes de las costuras y realicen un hermoso outfit asi en casa... Les quedara lindo...

Making this skirt was super simple, because I had the idea clear in my mind, plus I had a model of a skirt that my mom made me years ago, the only thing I was missing was elastic and immediately I thought of taking the elastic out of a pair of pants that was broken, with all my materials ready I got down to work.
The first thing I did was to wash the dress because it had some yellow stains, after it was dry I stretched it, measured and sewed it with the help of the other skirt...
I cut the dress, leaving 10 cm for the waistband, since I wanted it to be 4 cm wide so that the elastic could fit.
With the skirt elbowed and what was left was to sew, I made my hem the width I needed, using a white thread as the seams of the dress were white so it seemed right.... This was a straight seam, always the same at the end I did not close the hem, but left a space to put the elastic....
My seam was ready, I was missing the elastic, so I had to detach it from the pants and so I did, with the help of scissors and a stitch remover.
With my elastic in hand and with the help of a hairpin (grandma's trick), I sewed the elastic and closed the hem of the skirt with the machine...
And so my skirt was ready, for me a beautiful and modern project, besides I gave new life to that forgotten dress...
I felt very fulfilled to be able to achieve this by myself, sincerely the cuts were by eye, but always guided by the model I had here...
I tell you that I cut another dress, but this is black with white, I still have to sew it, but this weekend it will be ready....
I can't wait to wear my new skirt, I will take a lot of pictures when I make it to show you... Cheer up sewing lovers friends and make a beautiful outfit like this at home.... It will be beautiful...
