delivery riders who are on the streets trying to provide for their families' needs every day even in danger or life at risk because there are many accidents on the road and I know it's not an easy job.I'm Jemuel, and my username is @jedum. I made this community because I see that there are so many
I know because I came from this job for five years, rain and shine, still working to bring food for the family. So I want to share the opportunity for all delivery riders to share their experience in every job they do here in this community.
And now I am the first to share my past experience with the delivery job. On the left side of the food delivery services Foodpanda and Grabfood, I drive a single motorcycle, what we call habal habal in my native Visayan language. This is a passenger single motorcycle. I was driving for many years from 2004 to 2009, and after that, I was a scrap buyer, but the business didn't last long, and I went back to my old job. On 2018 Angkas arrived here in Cebu that year and it was embraced by our avid passengers and I got a little bit money to get home because our customers switch to ride on Angkas, because its trending at that time, thats why I applied as an Angkas rider on year 2018 and I drove until March of 2020 and all single motorcycle passenger kinds have been stopped by the government that time because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's good that before the coronavirus hit I applied first in foodpanda as a delivery rider.
And on March 15, 2020, the entire Cebu City and Province has been locked down and no one can come out except the frontliners, I am thankful because all the delivery riders belong to the frontliner but sadly many people have lost their jobs and many people also died because of the virus that time. God is good all the time because, even in the pandemic, I was able to work all day even though there was a big risk that I might get caught as well with the virus. I experienced a lot of difficulties that time.
Even though the situation was difficult during my work, I continued to persevere until the President Digong Roa Duterte lifted the lockdown, and I know that the entire population of the country is happy that the lockdown is lifted and businesses are slowly returning.
Because the income of the delivery rider at that time was good, many applied as food delivery riders, and many received the job of delivery. That is why the bookings that are accepted are getting less and less because there are many riders who are waiting to receive the booking, and the number of people ordering is decreasing because they can go to fast-food restaurants to buy the food they want.
After Foodpanda, I moved to GrabFood, LalaMove, and Maxim, almost all delivery companies here in Cebu I applied. 😊
REFLECTION
Life is full of battles. Despite being under attacked of different tests and trials, we must be courageous enough to face those odds without unwavering our faith to God. "Laban lang" in English keep fighting my friend because the real fight belongs to God and with that you can surely win in the end.

Alin po sa mga food deliveries ang pinaka okay based on your experience?
In my experience i preferred to choose foodpanda at the time dati po ng hindi pa nag bago ang system nila mas malaki pa kasi dati ang bayad per booking nasa 70php pa po ang batch-1 tapos minsan merong tatlo hangang limang customer sa isang booking kaya sa foodpanda ako nasa 14k ang kita ko sa isang lingo

I am a fan of having my food delivered through these online food deliveries. It is very convenient especially when it is rainy. Motorcycle taxis are also my go to transportation when I am running late for work. Kudos to all hard-working drivers like yourself.🙇♀️☺︎♡
