Feats Don't Fail Me Now
That is the title of an actual song by Little Feat (one of my all time favorite bands) written by Lowell George. I was just looking on YouTube and it's been covered at least 10 times. Who knew what Feets would become?
I'm here because my friend @wwwiebe suggested it to me. I previously posted this photo of my feeties in a comment to the post that started this whole thing:
I don't know about monetizing my feet, for the most part they have just walked along with me and I've never given it much thought. They probably do owe me a little, I've had a couple of injuries that cost some time and money...
How do you get paid? By the inch? Mine would be worth more than average, a lot more than average. A smooth size 13, please.
So. I went camping this weekend. Victor gave me two assignments and I managed to get one of them done. These are my feet at Deadhorse State Park, Cottonwood, Arizona. The weather was pretty nice if breezy during the day.
The other assignment was to take a picture of my feet on my motorcycle. Did you know you can't see much of your feet on a Honda Goldwing? They are pretty well tucked up under the motor and there will end up being some pretty good contortions to get a picture of either one. I might need a photographers assistant to accomplish this task,
I can show you all how my motorcycle looked on first arrival. It won't take much imagination to see my left foot in this picture. Then just take this picture of my feet on the parking area and imagine them on this motorcycle-you can do it!
Camping Feet. Not long ago it would have been out of my imagination to make this post. I can admit that it's a LOT easier for me to post a picture of my feet than a regular selfie. Just sayin'
In order to add a little professionalism to this catastrophe of a post I'm going to leave you with my favorite rendition of Little Feat doing Dixie Chicken. Yes, there are very young Bonnie Rait and Emmylou Harris singing backup. You are welcome.
That's so awesome! Love seeing the bike in it's preferred habitat like that, pulling a trailer. Too cool!
Now, there isn't much of a need to discuss any part of your body by the inch - at least not in my community. There may be others. Size 13. Pfft. Braggart.
Man, I want to go camping now.
I really enjoyed the weekend-it all went pretty good. It's been quite a few months since I camped and I forgot a couple of things. Water? Why would that matter? I did remember the coffee and ability to make it...
I was really excited on the way home and thinking of places I could go next. It'll be National Forest dispersal camping. One of my two favorite nearby spots for that is North Rim Grand Canyon. I thought a lot about it on the way home and when I got here I checked the weather. High of 64, low of 29 (that's F) with a possibility of snow :) It's not quite time for that trip :)

Size 13? Wow, that's a powerful man-foot! You must be rather tall! 😍 Love that tent, and it's amazing that it can be setup in two minutes. How do they do that...?!?!? 😮 Glad you had good weather for your excursion, and the motorcycle looks quite content in that Arizona landscape! 😊
For comparison purposes, I wear a women's size 9, which is about the same size as a 7 in men's shoes. I've never figured out why they have a different scale for women -vs- men. 😂
I'm rather tall-but shrinking. I'm just a bit over 6'3" according to my doctor. I was pretty close to 6'5" in my 20s. I earned the 'Big' part of my name.
The motorcycle and trailer worked flawlessly. I am really pleased with the possibilities. I'll add a couple of things for the next trip-a real stove and a cooler on the tongue of the trailer. Both exciting possibilities for me. I'd guess you could honestly say that I'm easily excited!
Thanks for stopping by, Kitty. I really do appreciate it!

That is awesome that you were able to get out and do some camping. We still have a lot of stuff to do to our trailer before I can get it on the road. I know a lot of people in Michigan have been hitting the state parks lately. I am looking forward to the two trips we have planned into the UP this summer. It should be fun.
This is genuinely year round camping country. Had I been ready earlier I'd have probably gone to Death Valley and/or Joshua Tree. It's NEVER too cold to camp at DV :)
I won't make the UP this year. It is truly one of my favorite areas and I'll miss not being there. I need to go check out that Copper Mine you wrote about last year....
I may need tires on my trailer before I head out for Washington. They don't wear very fast on a teeny trailer like that. I'll get a couple more local trips in before...
I think we are probably heading back to that mine again this year. We are taking our friends back with us, so they haven't had the chance to see it yet. It should be a lot of fun. I hope you have an awesome time and safe travels no matter where the road takes you this year!
